    New chapter Friday

I sincerely apologize for not updating recently. My job has given me mandatory overtime which means less time to work on writing. It’s expected to last till the end of the year

That being said, I want to make 2-3 more chapters before 2023, with the next one coming Friday.

Arc 2 Chapter 3 coming Saturday

Apologies for the long delay, I had to sort out some stuff, and farming Grail Front plus the new version of Genshin Impact takes a lot of your time.

Masterverse: Morphology of Animals and Phantasmal Beasts · 3:10pm Aug 31st, 2017

Animals

The exact relationship between animals and their Pokémon counterparts is unknown(if their even is one). They made their appearance shortly before humans, and how they came about is just as mysterious. While many similarities exist between the two, it so far has only been in general appearance and behavior. In terms of symbiotic relationships between animals and Pokémon, the later for the most part preys on the former, this is due to some animals resembling Pokémon prey and the general advantage in powers Pokémon have over normal animals. Because of this, animals generally live in very separate and far off habitats from Pokémon. When the cataloging and naming of Pokémon started it was decided that they would be derived from the names and species of animals for simplicity and familiarity. As of today, while Pokémon mostly dominate the eastern world, animals in vice versa are more commonly found in the western world. Because of this countries who have large livestock of animals are usually the sole providers of meat and trade due to their scarcity in the eastern world.

Phantasmal Beasts

Ancient and mythological creatures who exist in myth, legend and fairy tales are cataloged by the magical world as Phantasmal Beasts. Such lifeforms where much more common during the Age of Deities but disappeared during the Age of Man. Unlike Pokémon and animals, these creatures actually derive their powers from magic and are capable of feats only mages can dream of. Some of these creatures are said to have spawn from animal mutations or machinations, others came into being through the intervention of Divine Spirits. There are three categories that Phantasmal Beasts are divided into: Monstrous Beasts are the lowest rank followed by Magical Beasts and the highest existence are Divine Beasts. As of modern times such creatures are non existent, only possibly still alive in places undiscovered or unreachable by mankind's current technology. However, their is a rumor that these beasts have simply retreated underground to hollowed areas within the planet, a place that exists separately from the modern Earth, a realm called "The Reverse Side of the World".

Monstrous Beasts include:

.Chimera

The result of combining various animals from all walks of life. There isn't a requirement of how many animals or what kind need to be combined in order to form a Chimera, but generally they consist of feline, reptilian and livestock animals such as lions, snakes and goats. The process in which Chimera's are created is called Synthetic Beast.

.Demon boar

A demonic creature mutated from normal boars by Divine Spirits to punish man, these beasts feed on meat, armor and can devour magical runes for energy. A strong enough Boar can take on even dragon kind and defeat them with humiliation, one does not challenge these things without a strategy.

.Griffin

An airborne creature with the wings and head of an eagle, and the rear of a lion. These beasts are known to prey on horses and other equine animals. But in impossibly rare cases, a male griffin can mate with a mare and give birth to a Hippogriff.

.Kelpie

In Gaelic, its name translates to "Water horse". This beast is known to prey on humans and favors eating females, as such it is called a water demon in myth. Once native to an area of Britain's northern islands but has since vanished. They can resemble a large horse with a tail shaped like a fish's fin. They run freely on the surface of water and can change their shape into a winged form known as a Boobrie.

.Pegasus

A species of winged horse that appears in Greek myth, the most famous of which were tamed by the heroes Perseus ad Medusa. Made by the Divine spirit of the sea Poseidon, they are a docile species but can cause great wind gusts with their wings. They have the same defensive power as a dragon and also posses great magic resistance.

Magical Beasts include:

.Unicorns
Not much is known about unicorns other than the fact that they can purify human souls. They posses great magic potent and as such were hunted to near extinction for their horns. Legend has it that they would be lured by innocent princesses to their kings, said kings would cut off their horns.

.Harpies
A flying type of Phantasmal Beast, they are known for their cruel habits and a cowardly nature. They are guided by their appetite and always seek food when they can.

.Golem

Artificial creatures made out if stone or other materials. Golem were mages first attempts at creating life, but what they got where creatures with limited intelligence. They can be controlled to a point and are strong and deadly in battle, however they can be defeated easily by striking their core.

Divine Beasts include:

.Basmu

The children of an ancient Mesopotamian monster called Tiamat, these creatures resemble serpents or dragons. They are very poisonous and posses the same destructive nature against humans as their progenitor. They are of course extinct, but can be summoned in spirit form through unnatural means.

.Typhon

A one-off-a-kind race of Divine Beast, Typhon is monster that puts others to shame. Known as a bringer of storms, this thing is perhaps more of a weapon than a living creature as it was made to oppose the Olympians.

.Gugalanna: Bull of Heaven

A Divine Beast from ancient Uruk, this was the same Bull that was set upon the city after Ishtar was rejected by its ruler Gilgamesh. It can cause worldwide flooding and famine that can last for seven years. No one person can stand against it, as such it only took the combined might of the Babylonian King and Enkidu to kill it. It is believe that if Ishtar where to be summon as a heroic spirit, she would know how to revive said beast. It size is said to be the as big as a mountain.

.Hydra

Multi headed serpents that breathes a potent poison, and their entire bodies are filled with it. Simply standing near an adult one will make a human's lungs begin to rot, even a deceased juvenile is great enough to harm someone with direct contact. Though not enough to kill a Heroic or Divine Spirit, it could still prove harmful to one. They are not capable of regrowing heads like in myth, although the one slayed by Hercules was an exception.

.Moby Dick
Not much is known about this whale other than it was hunted by many a ships, only to meet their end at its wrath. It is the most famous of its classification and like Typhon is more of a weapon that a living thing. It is considered more dangerous than the average heroic spirit.

.Sphinx

Originating from ancient Egypt, they are said to answer to Pharaohs as they are decedents of Divine Spirits. They are creations of Ra and Horus, and their divinity increases with their growth.

.Curruid

The Beast of Billows. This unique creature was a monster lurking deep beneath Celtic waters before emerging and bringing with it all manner of tornadoes and storms. After it was killed its skull was fashioned into the spear known as Gae Bolg, and its skeleton was made into an armor called the Curruid Coinchenn.
