    A Beautiful Lesson

Sometimes we need to be reminded, just because one's not the star of the show, doesn't make them unimportant. You're all valued in one way or another, whether your role be small or big, and that's okay.

Legends Of Everfree Idea Number #62 · 12:19pm May 31st, 2017

"You left your home world behind? Why?"

"I was bored!" It was odd, watching another version of yourself. Hell, even knowing there's another you running around and meddling in affairs beyond his concern. No wonder people get sick of my interference. "I wanted to see whole other worlds, another way to live without being pressured by the expectations of my selfish people. But one day, I will go back... One day."

My younger/older(?) self was sat upon a convenient log beside the bacon-haired teen, overlooking the vast lake outside the camp, both oblivious to my own presence observing from a few feet away. The moonlight illuminated the crystal water gorgeously, it looked almost romantic. Hey, I'll certainly welcome a glasses version of myself being paired up with Sunset Shimmer than what Legends of Everfree actually gave us.

"So what will you do in the meantime?" Sunset inquired softly, sitting right next to my shorter self with an understanding smile. I'm still wondering how it is this other me can be here in his real human form as opposed to the world changing his appearance entirely.

Jack shrugged. "For now, help around here. There's a villain to stop, and two camp counselors to put in their place." He smiled wryly, and I shared the same look.

Sunset tilted her head. "You and the other you really are adamant that Timber and Gloriosa are both dangerous, aren't you?"

"I understand that you don't believe me-"

"I understand there's something going on." Sunset interjected in assurance, placing a hand on the young man's shoulder with a confident smile. "You won't have to worry about doing this alone. You have your friends beside you; we want to help however we can."

"...You really are this world's equivalent to Twilight; amazing in every way." Whether she was blushing from the gratitude in his voice or the sheer praise by the man, I could only speculate. Gotta say though, I was lucky enough with Twilight, but if another me honestly thinks he's got a shot with Sunset Shimmer...

Life often gifts things beyond relief. Starswirl began, prompting the nearby Jack to whip his head around in startled confusion. The roads which leads us here rewards us with bonds we could never predict. From man and woman... To husband and wife.

Really... Those two...? Huh.

Well, better leave them to it then.

"Anyway..." Jack started uncertainly while I made a silent departure, hearing at least one last thing from the man. "Tell me more about yourself. I imagine it's not your physical beauty alone that defines you." Oho, looks like the Jack Wright from high school long ago is resurfacing. Good luck Sunset, you especially.
