My comedic life: Adulting at it's finest · 5:42am May 28th, 2017
So my life... I have made myself a martini on my day off, I got sick of writing drama for my next fics and decided to talk about the complete insanity which is my life right now...
First thing is first. I think? Uni. Yep, that seems like a good place to start. It's been... interesting. I am loving everything, it's been fun so far, every bit of it. Except for Mondays... I hate those things. having an 8 am lecture Monday morning means actually getting my life together on SUNDAY! out of all the days and I have to be a smart functioning person and actually get stuff ready because I have to leave home at 7:15 am if I have any hope of getting a coffee before that lecture. I swear coffee is the only thing getting me through my days at uni. I totally do mean to sound cliche, there is a reason those stupid things exist because they are true and I am literally the most stereotypical uni student in existence. The barista at one of the tens of coffee shops on campus knows my regular off by heart... help...
In terms of adulting.... well, let's just get a little excerpt out of a little journal I have been recording the riveting events in my life.
"25th May: Watched new mlp episode at 6 am instead of getting ready for work. Worked until 4 pm and did uni work when I got home... Just kidding I wrote mlp fanfiction and went to the cinema to watch new Pirates of the Carribean. Didn't cry at the end, but nearly did on the way home when I remembered an assignment due on Monday."
So as you can tell I am taking things well. Got a job... even got a plan on how I will tackle next semester at uni! I am kidding I haven't even picked my topics for that semester. Organisation, I like to think of it as optional.
On a brighter note I am going to see my boyfriend in July so don't be expecting a fic in that time (snrrk like I post regularly enough for that to be an issue).
Also I freaking love the uni environment. We have a group on campus called "socialist alternative". For the bronies out there not Australian, the SA are a group of communists trying to make Australia into another Bolshevik revolution. So these nutjobs preach on uni grounds, every time they do it is entertaining as all hell to see people with rational sense and political views to shut them down. I am not even going to get in to how entertaining the uni demographic are in general. Dudes wearing onsies in lectures are not a rare sight...
So to make a long story short my life has pretty much turned into a giant sitcom which must be highly entertaining on the outside. I officially believe that I was destined to be someone that just has the most absurd crazy stuff happen to them, i've resigned to this fact. Friday night I ended up having to call my roadside assistance agency as my car ended up with a chip in the windscreen after a cat fell out of a tree and onto the window.... WHILE I WAS DRIVING.
A couple of days before this I ripped my jeans at work, in a cafe... I went home to get a new pair but they were in the washing machine. I ended up using another apron to tie around my rear end. rest assured I didn't go further than the counter and bar that night.
About a week ago I manage to overcook 2 min noodles... honestly don't ask. and about a week before that an ant found it's way into my skinny jeans, biting me, I kicked the seat in front of me in the lecture theatre in shock. I kicked it with such force in snapped the chair, and made a huge noise, slapping my leg until I was certain it was dead I noticed the lecturer was looking at me like I had just turned purple.
It's been a doozy of a month but with May wrapping up I think it is about time I got myself together and started posting more. Time to get my life back on track and focusing on what is important. Pone.
Yep, truly worrying about the most important things in this life. Be expecting some new chapters from me... eventually, and then I can finally get into some more comedic stuff going in the future. Milo out!
