A Long Journey and Penumbra · 3:13am Oct 5th, 2012
Alright, here's the deal. Both Penumbra and A Long Journey are both being put on hiatus. This will last for a month maybe two while I finish of a one shot I've had shelved for far too long.
The thing is I've just got too much on my plate at the moment. I want to write two large multichapter fics (Penumbra and A Long Journey) and I want to write them both at the same time. Then there's the one shot I've had shelved for like six months now, and another thing that I'm working on that I'm not sure I'm allowed to talk about, but rest assured I'm having fun working on it.
On top of those four stories I have an idea for another story that just won't leave me alone and the more I think about it the more it seems like a good idea. The thing is though it's a story that would be an epic of a size comparable to Fallout Equestria. For those of you who haven't read Fallout Equestria, why the hell not? Anyway, that story has a word count of about six hundred thousand words. The average novel comes in at two hundred to three hundred thousand. So this idea I have will be freaking huge if I actually decide to write it. Which is why I'm nervous to begin because it would take away from everything else I have.
So that's four stories that I'm currently working on, and one that I'm only not starting because it's too much at the moment. That's why I've decided to put A Long Journey and Penumbra on hiatus until I can clear at least one story off my plate.
When I finish up this one shot, I'm planning on writing the next chapter of Penumbra as well as rewriting the prologue because I'm really not happy with it. That will be followed by A Long Journey and then Penumbra then A Long Journey. I'll be trying to release one chapter of each at a time. I'd always planned on writing those two stories at once.
The other thing I'm working on will stay on my plate because I'm enjoying working on it too much, but I doubt you people will get to see it for a while.
Rest assured people that I'm still writing, and doing a lot of it, and you people will eventually get to see what I'm doing. In the meantime, if you like Penumbra try A Long Journey, if you like A Long Journey try Penumbra. I want my readers from both series reading the other.
Finally, a brief note on Penumbra: I've dropped the first serious hint on what happened between the events of the show and the events of Penumbra. You just need to look around a bit to find it. Here's a hint: think about Twilight's name (all three of them).
Damn.
