My Final Performance · 3:27am Apr 29th, 2017
For one of the final grades of the year, my Theatre teacher had every class perform a fairy tale for The Variety Show (a show mainly consisting of multiple skits). I auditioned -- along with four others -- to be the Big Bad Wolf -- which was the only character that the teacher held auditions for. Everyone else was selected based on the monologues they wrote performed a few weeks earlier. (you can view mine here)
I, of course, had the best audition. Though at the time of the auditions I was more nervous. The play was open to the public, so you could get in free. Wanting to impress friends and family, I did the best I could (Well, almost. I missed a beat at the end when I ran away. I meant to skip away as to look more scared for my life.). I didn't expect to get the reaction I got.
When the play was over, a girl wanted to take a picture with me; so I said of course and did my Big Bad Wolf impression. Many other people congratulated me, and my teacher said I was an audience favorite in the play. When I went over to my parents, my stepfather (or whatever you call a future father-in-law) said he had trouble recording because he was holding back laughter; hence why the camera is so shaky.
My mom owns a Thrift Shop, and in the back, we have mats set up for a Brazilian Jiu Jitsu class. One of the teacher's that work at the school brought the kids that take the class to the play, and right afterward they said my performance was their favorite. The last piece of congratulations I got was from multiple parents telling me, "Good job." You're talented." "Stay in Theatre kid." "Have my first born." "You were the best." instead of just, y'know, telling this to their children.
So yeah, I think my future career as a stand-up comedian might work out after all.
also, the narrator is my crush :D
