In today's time of f**ked up reboots, from Michael Bay's Transformers and Ninja Ogres, to many of the live action attempts of bringing anime to the big screen that offends TUMBLR because of 'white washing'... I can say that the new Power Ranger is great! It's no masterpiece, but I can say that this is far much better than the original Power Rangers movie, where they had Apocalypse before it was cool.
Of course, the plot is simple; 5 teenagers find a spaceship, have to become the Power Rangers, and defend the world from evil. Well, if you've seen the trailers, we all know Rita is the main badguy, and she uses Not-Goldar as her main henchman. Man, thanks to Suicide Squad, we're getting plenty of women villains acting like Enchantress, with this and the upcoming Mummy movie proving my statement. Don't be surprised when the MCU's Enchantress acts like DC's Enchantress! But, yeah, she's really cheesy in this movie, and Goldar... They should've kept everything solid and not liquidy. But what about the Rangers?
Well, we have Jason as the Red Ranger, Kimberly as the Pink Ranger, Billy as the Blue Ranger, Zach as the black ranger, and Trini as the Yellow Ranger. ... They're actually great! I can already tell MrAquino likes the blue Ranger due to a little thing he has, which doesn't involve ponies, but each of them are flawed, but likable... probably. And for the Megazords? Well... let's just say that if Michael Bay's Transformers hadn't come along, we'll be more excited to see them than we are today. Thanks, Michael Bay! And if you're wondering, all the crazy Kung-Fu, Mechazord action comes in the finale, but thanks to the leading 5, it's tolerable.
And if you're wondering, Bryan Cranston dies in the opening, like Godzilla, and Alpha 5 isn't as terrible as I'd thought he'd be.
So, my rating for this is 7 out of 10 Green Ranger helmets. It's a pretty good film, with some flaws, both outside and in the film, the keep it back from being a 8 or 9 out of 10. Oh, and if you're wondering, they have the original movie theme playing, but you have to see if for yourself.

That's one of my favorite scenes in the entire movie. I especially loved the GIANT MOTHER-FUCKING SUPLEX! I WAS SCREAMING IN THE THEATER IT WAS SO HYPE!
