The Knuckles Miniseries · 12:40pm April 27th
Ok, I watched the entire Knuckles mini series, and it was alright. A small synopsis of each episode and my thoughts
1: Knuckles wants to rebuild his tribe, and after getting a visit from the ghost of his old chief, goes to train Wade. Wade, meanwhile, is kicked out of his bowling team, and vows to get stronger. To make Wade a "Warrior", the two travel to Reno to join a bowling tournament, as the bowling alley is Wade's "Battleground".
The big setup for the series, and though this is the only episode with Sonic and Tails, it's neat to give some side characters the chance to shine in the spotlight. Wade and Knuckles really did strangely work here, especially how we learn about Wade's past and how his father straight up abandoned him and his family.
2: Knuckles is captured by a pair of corrupt G.U.N. agents and Wade has to rescue him.
Made me laugh to see how Wade's imagination got the best of him, and I think we're all guilty of thinking we're gonna be cool, but actually goof it up badly.
3: Our duo stop at Wade's mom's house for the night. Antics happen between him and his sister, and some bounty hunters attack the family.
A lot of Jewish stuff is here, front and center, and though I'm personally a Christian, it did throw me in for a loop to learn more about Wade's family. Though I know some folks are gonna hate this series just because of this reveal.
4: Wade is kidnapped by a bounty hunter, revealed to be his bowling friend from the first episode, and Wade has to meditate to find a way out of his cell.
The ultimate WTF episode that just made me laugh hysterically. A part of me thinks this is the equivalent of the wedding crash from Sonic 2, but way crazier.
5: The duo arrive at Reno for the bowling tournament, and Wade has a reunion with his father.
A slower episode, but it's kinda necessary, especially for that ending that made me worry what was gonna happen next.
6: The finale of the Bowling tournament as Knuckles fights the man who's after him.
A pretty satisfying ending. Probably won't matter much for Sonic 3, but it was a fun run.
So my overall thoughts were that it's a pretty alright show. Plenty of laughs and I wanted to see it go through. Can imagine if this was all one movie, it's about a two and a half hour run. Didn't go through EVERY small detail, since it deserves at least one watch
