So the other day I managed to finish a 7,600 word re-write of an important section of block two. I showed it to one editor who specializes in technical matters and my wife. Between the two of them, there are more than 80 comments, and most (though not all) of those from my wife (who by FAR has a huge majority of them) will require thought and effort to resolve.
That's how hard my stuff gets ripped apart you guys X) But, that's also why it has whatever tiny amount of quality it does.
Regardless, this re-write is still way better than the original version.

I am nostalgiaing so hard right now. Where's my copy of SC3k? It's getting re-installed immediately.
Story: whatever it takes, man! Quality over quantity, any day. However, I haven't been paying attention much to the terminology. Is "book two" a section you haven't released yet, or is it a re-write of an already existing chapter?

I write in blocks of 5-10 chapters (or so) at a time. I do not release anything in said block until the whole block is pretty much ready to be posted. It lets me go back and forth and make changes as I write to improve short-term foreshadowing and consistency. Then I stagger the posting of the chapters out so I have time to write the next block.
Block two should be at LEAST 6 chapters, I think.

Oh, solid writing strategy, I like it.
I can't help but laugh at this... Torn apart by your wife, eh? Ouch. Hehe.

Oh, she can be brutal with it, and damn near VULCAN with her logic, even when applied to emotions, if you can believe it. But, the end result? A much better story. I'm NOTHING without her.

395190 Star Trek style. I like this. Tell your wife thank you or something for me, because I'm really enjoying this story!
EDIT: Oh yeah, live long and prosper!
