Behind The Story: Midnight in Twilight

Ah. Kinda hard to believe I can still put out stories that are readable and would reach the Feature Box. I thank you all of my readers and followers for that! It's been quite a while since I made another one shot, and I can definitely blame the pony hiatus and Overwatch. Mostly Overwatch...

Also, hello new followers. I'm glad you guys are willing to see more stuff from me.

So, about this one shot, Midnight, I came up with it around a month during or after the movie Legend of Everfree came out. I was really excited I could come out with a story with fresh material from the movie, and I wanted to release it as the movie was still new in people's minds. Turns out I couldn't. Yeah, I disappointed myself a lot then. Since then, I only added to the story bit by bit. Originally, it was about the first scene in the story, just the girls having fun thinking of superhero names for each other. I realized I couldn't really revolve the story on just that. Not only it was short, it was also kind of pointless. Small talk doesn't make a great read. It was only later I thought of using Twilight as the main character of the story; a story of her still tackling her dark side. I was inspired my Bakemonogatari's dialogues, where they give out heavy stuff that makes you think, or long lines that actually made you doubt. I'm not sure if I did achieve any of that.

When 2017 came, my writing almost came to a halt. I bought Overwatch and I love it! As of that time, I was also writing for Summer Rhapsody, and Midnight's story was a side priority. When Summer was cancelled, I had more time to finish Midnight's. And that leads to the present! I'm happy this story is interesting enough for a lot of people.

My brother said it reminded him of Naruto talking to Kyubi, and now I can't get it out of my mind....
