Hey! I've been a lil quiet. right? I just want to let you know guys I haven't abandoned the fic.
The beginning of the year was... weird, so to speak. After finishing The Shimmer of Magic, I didn't really know how to continue, y'know? I mean, one of the reasons I accepted to divide the story is because I didn't know just how to write it.
I wasn't convinced about my own story anymore.
BUT! (And that's a big butt!) I thought about adding some more spice. I love slice of life, but I thought I could try to write something more exciting, and so I decided to shake it up and add a couple of things I had in the back of my mind for a while. And, of course, with the help of my good friend and editor, Crow, I decided to make The Trick to Success an adventure fic.
Now hold your horses! This won't be, by any means, an epic adventure. Spoiler alert: Nobody's returning to Equestria. I just wanted to add more challenges than what anything mundane thing could offer. There still will be slice of life, and shipping, lot's of shipping of course.
And, I already finished two chapters and am currently working on the third one! (yay!) And now you may wonder why I don't start publishing. And the answer is quite simple: I want to publish when I have everything ready. Yep! That's it! When I have the whole fic ready, I'll do scheduled updates! The time will depend on how big the fic turns out in the end, but it'll most likely be weekly or something.

I do hope you do something with the Sushi sunset design that's been flouting around. Ether as a part time job for sunset or just another one of Trixie's sexy cosplay ideas.
"You do you" is a good way of saying it, no matter what you decide to write I will probably read it. The most pressing matter I want to know is what you will to with Trixie´s parents and that colossal shitstorm but as long as I get my injection of shipping fluff then I am happy!

Looking forward to the sequel, been talking on and off with Crow and curious to see how it all comes together with what he explained.
The ending of the first arc was wonderful and I look forward to seeing more between these two's relationship. Also curious to see if you take anything from the movies. From what you showed, the dazzlings did not see the arc of magic and know to come to the school to start siphoning, but they are still at large and might pick up on it. Or maybe we won't ever see them again.
Regardless, I can't wait to see the sequel and then nitpick with Crow on it like usual.
