Two Random Food Items That Are Selling For A Large Sum · 4:31pm Feb 19th, 2017

Here are some articles about some random food items that have fetched a pretty big sum on the online marketplace for simply being an odd shape or else shaped like something people can recognize.

There's A Crisp That Looks Just Like Harambe – And It's Selling For A Staggering Sum

A lone crisp has become a reminder of one of the greatest tragedies of recent times: the death of Harambe, a gorilla sorely missed.

The beloved primate, who was killed after a child fell into his cage at Cincinnati Zoo, has for a while now been an internet sensation. Thousands of Americans voted for him for president. Harambe has been immortalized in many different ways.

And now, the gorilla, a symbol of hope and righteousness, has been found in crisp form – namely, a Flamin' Hot Cheeto. Does Harambe's honour know no bounds?

The lucky person who found the Harambe-shaped crisp decided to sell it on eBay . User 'valuestampsinc', from Burbank, California, saw the bids roll in.

The eBay description reads: “I opened up a bag of Flamin' Hot Cheetos and as soon as I looked inside I came across this unique Cheetos that looks like Harambe the gorilla."

“This item is one of a kind. It measures up to about one-and-a-half inches in length. This item up for bid is only for this unique Cheetos, bag not included."

The Cheeto was listed as “brand-new, unused, unopened and undamaged”. It was only available in the US.

After around 132 people showed a monetary interest, the Cheeto sold for a cool $99,999. Bidding ending this morning. Yes, nearly 100,000 grand for a single potato-based snack that resembled only the promise of a better world.

Family Finds The World's Biggest Bran Flake And Is Now Trying To Sell It For £1,000 On eBay

The dad was bowled over to find the 14 cm breakfast flake lodged in the Kellogg's pack.

A man has claimed to have found the world's biggest bran flake - and is now hoping to fetch £1,000 for it on eBay.

Steven Marriott, 44, wondered why nothing was coming out of the cereal package when he opened the new box for his nine-year-old son, Oscar.

He quickly realized a massive single bran flake was blocking the inner bag of the Kellogg's cereal.

The giant flake, which measures 14 cm by 10 cm (5.5 in by 4 in), eventually fell out of the box along with a small piece measuring 7 cm by 4 cm (2.7 in by 1.5 in).

The pair discovered the huge flake as they made breakfast on Wednesday morning.

Steven, who lives in West Bridgford, Nottingham, said: "I opened a new box and tipped it up and nothing was pouring out because of this massive bran flake."

"It's definitely bran flake material but I didn't fancy eating it."

"The whole family were around getting ready for work and school so I told them to come and have a look."

"A bit had even broken off in the box so it would have been bigger."

"It still exists, I've not demolished it."

"It is being kept in the cupboard at the moment but I am not sure what we are going to do with it."

Steven, who bought the £2.89 box of Bran Flakes from Waitrose, said he posted a picture of the giant flake on Twitter.

The IT manager, who lives with his wife Clare, 43, and their three children Ethan, 15, Elana, 13, and Oscar, added: "I thought it was interesting so I sent Kellogg's a picture of it to show them."

"I wasn't moaning but I thought they might send us a free box or something."

"I haven't heard back off them yet though."

He is now considering putting it on eBay, where an over-sized cornflake was sold for more than £1,000.

Kellogg's have now congratulated Steven and Oscar for finding the super-sized flake but jokingly apologized if it "dominated" his bowl.

A spokeswoman for the cereal giant said: "We would like to congratulate Mr Marriott on finding a super Bran Flake."

"We are unaware of any other Kellogg's Bran Flake being created to this enormous scale and would love to know if it is the largest in the world."

"We apologize if the giant flake dominated his cereal bowl."

"At Kellogg's we like to encourage all of our customers to have fun with their cereal and come up with new, versatile recipes."

"Perhaps there is a fun and alternative way to enjoy this extra-large bite."
