Commission Queue Update and Guidelines Notice · 7:04am Feb 11th, 2017
Everypony-
To whom it may concern, I've recently updated my commission queue. You can check it out here.
If you're interested in commissioning a story from me, I am still happy to hear your idea - just be advised that unless there's a cancellation somewhere in here (it has happened before), the way this list looks now probably constitutes something like a three month wait before I can even begin on a new commission, if I got one today. It takes me roughly a week to bust out a 5k story, plus proofreading. I wish I could do them faster, but I've got a day job, kids, and so forth to think about. I'll tell you up front that I work on my own stuff in between these commissions, too, as well as the odd personal friend request/trade, so that will also make things take longer. I will, however, give top priority to your story once I have begun working on it. This is also why I do not ask for payment until I'm ready to begin work on your story. It's easier for both of us - I'm not sitting on your money, and you can easily change your mind before I get to you, if you want. But, if you want to get on the list and you don't mind waiting, I can still pencil folks in, and I thank you kindly for your interest
I'd like to take this opportunity to draw attention to one of my commission guidelines (these are posted on my profile page). At present, I do not take commissions from persons under the age of 18. This is for any type of story, regardless of rating or content. Please understand that this rule is not an attempt to belittle younger fans. I appreciate your interest as much as I do anyone else's, and I'm happy to talk to you - I am simply hesitant to engage in a business transaction of this nature with someone who is not a legal adult. That said, I am not the internet police and I cannot verify you are who or what you say you are - thus, my guidelines clearly state that I will accept no responsibility for folks who lie to me about their age. That is your fault, and the fault of whomever is your legal guardian. Obviously, even if this rule were not in place, I would still not write a mature story for somebody under legal age.
PLEASE READ my commission guidelines before commissioning me. They cover my rates, what I will and won't write, and so forth. I consider any request for a story from me to constitute that you have read and agree to my guidelines!
All that said, I would like to say that I'm flattered for anypony who likes my work enough that they would want me to write a story for them. This has been a wonderful experience, I'm enjoying hearing all your ideas immensely, taking on challenges, and I hope to continue at it for a long while. So don't be a stranger!
