A challenge to myself(editors/proofreaders needed!) · 1:49pm Feb 3rd, 2017
My dear readers.
While I do love writing my fanfic, I find myself procrastinating ever since I stopped releasing on a weekly schedule. Even though I still update once a week or so, the procrastinating is in full force.
Obviously I thought of just reinstating the schedule, but then I thought I'd take it a step further for shits and giggles.
Starting right now, I'm starting a pseudo NaNoWriMo for myself. For those who aren't familiar with the term, it's basically a challenge to write 50k words in one month.(takes place every november)
It is now February 3rd, so the challenge will run until March 3rd. During this timeframe I'll still just upload a chapter once every week, but after that, I'll upload them as soon as possible.
That being said, I don't want to overwork Azriel or Kylobites with a massive flood of chapters at the end of the month, so if you're interested for a temporary position as editor/proofreader, shoot me a message.
What I expect from you: Clean and serious editing/proofreading. Be aware that english is my second language, so especially the editor will have to fluff a few parts.(don't worry, azriel tells me it's not that bad.)
What you'll get: Early access to any and all chapters I write during the month (unedited ofc).
I'll assign people who volunteer to chapters they should edit, so don't just start editing away.
50k words is a looot of words... here's to hoping I can pull it off!
Forgot to mention: I'll post updates on my progress in my profile/bio. Am on mobile rn, will edit this bit in when I get home.
4407865 it's actually National NOVEL Writing Month, not november. But I see what you did there
Good luck! (I wanted to say something else, but I can't think of anything... )
If you can manage 1700 words a day you can knock this out in about 30 days. Pace yourself and have confidence and Im sure you'll finish on schedule.
Ninja edit.
Yeah I'll throw my name into the hat as a Proofreader.
4408457 thanks!
4408530 yeah, I did the math and started a project on pacemaker to keep track of my progress. Still, 1700 words is a lot. Two day's in and I'm doing well... for now. Let's hope I can keep it up :P
4408541 Awesome, I'll message you once you're needed.
