I keep wanting to read this, but I keep wanting to wait for the main story to be finished first. Too many stories to keep track of on this site any more, too easy to lose the detail and subtle points that make them stand out. Any chance you could bug MrNumbers to put some work in on it? Having them both together would be the best.

Main story is on extended indefinite hiatus, don't expect it to resume any time soon. MrNumbers has given me blessing to diverge from his canon where necessary, so at least this story will stand. In fact, he says it's already canon-divergent, and that TQE is what happens when Twilight Sparkle becomes worryingly calm and level-headed.

Actually, me and Numbers just had a discussion.

The Quiet Equestrian is now the canon sequel to Demesne. He's going to continue the story up to the stage where the noble ponies cause the schism, and that's the point where Twilight Sparkle puts Plan B into place. There won't be any real spoilers for Demesne in TQE, mostly because it's dealing with a totally different set of characters, and even Twilight herself only has a small role.
