IN WHICH I BEAT A DEADLINE
Yes, you read that heading correctly. About ten hours ago, I finished my upcoming Mayor Mare story. Somehow, I've managed to complete it a week ahead of schedule. It's not long - just over 2000 words - but considering I managed to crank it out in just two nights, that's actually pretty good for me. I am slow.
Since I was never going to post it before the 20th anyway, this situation dovetails well with my policy of "let it rest for a couple days and then go back and edit". Is it a good story? Considering its highly-charged subject matter, I doubt anyone but me will care about its quality.
I think for my 125th blog entry, I'll post the original version of the Mayor's story that I scrapped.
I'm almost done rewatching Trigun. It's only 26 episodes; I have six left. After that, I'm probably going to finish rewatching Bebop (eight episodes [one Bluray] left). After that, I'll either start Korra or watch one of the newer Ghibli films I've got in the backlog – From Up On Poppy Hill or The Tale of Princess Kaguya. I was reminded yesterday that I need to check out Laika's newest flick, Kubo and the Two Strings, when I saw people arguing over whether it was better than Zootopia (haven't seen ZT, heard it's excellent, but the furry aspect weirds me out in a way Sonic oddly never has).
