It's coming... · 3:25am Jan 13th, 2017
"For the Good of Equestria: Shadows" will be released this Saturday. Don't get your hopes up too far--it's just a collection of my notes for where I would have taken the story if I finished it, coupled with some short excerpts of stuff I actually wrote before I quit.
That said, I'm excited to see what you guys think about it--I've been working on this story, off and on, since literally 2012. I'm eager to finally get to tell it--though not in the way that I was hoping.
Quick question, though: At present, the story consists of a lot of summary, with links to the GDocs for the excerpts, some of which are a couple pages long. To be clear: the excerpts are summarized in the text, but the excerpts allow you to see what I've actually written.
One of my readers suggested including the excerpts in the FimFic itself, rather than requiring an external link. I'm fond of the idea, but primarily because I'm very fond of the little I have written, and I think you may be, too--but I'm concerned about the lengthy and inconsistent word count of some of these things. Any thoughts?
'Scrap folder' type things aren't uncommon (I have one too). Just deliver context in an A/N and make 'em look neat.
