    A Lost Sunset

    Hello everypony,

If you've seen recent blog posts, you know I've been cancelling my stories. I've lost interest in writing and...well, I honestly haven't been able to come up with ideas for my stories. This includes A Lost Sunset, as I had no idea where to go with it, and still don't.

    Some News

    Hi everypony,

I come today to say...well, I'm cancelling my stories. I'm going to cancel the smaller ones first, as I honestly don't remember where I was going to go with those stories. These stories being the Twilight and Moondancer Investigations, Crystal Queen of Sunsets and The Funny Little Guy.

Just finished FF15 · 5:03am Dec 19th, 2016

I finally finished Final Fantasy 15 and...I LOVED IT!!!

This was a really good game, probably in my top 5 Final Fantasy games. Didn't beat my favs FF7 and FF9 but...it's really really good.

It definitely had some flaws but no deal breakers. In fact, nothing close to deal breakers. The game was rough but fair in difficulty, the story was a good FF story and the characters were a really good cast of characters. Overall, it was a great time. (Not going into details because I would instantly go into spoilers)

If I had to list my Final Fantasy list of faves, it would probably be this: (Note: I haven't played FF11 or FF14)

13th aka the WORST: FF6
12th aka the other WORST: FF4
11th aka also horrible: FF8
10th: FF2 (Not bad, just not a fan)
9th: FF1 (See previous entry)
8th: FF10 (Great combat, horrible story)
7th: FF12 (No real opinion, middle of the road for me)
6th/5th (Could switch at anytime): FF3 and FF5
4th/3rd (Could also switch at anytime) : FF13 and FF15
1st/2nd (Can't choose): FF7 and FF9

Man! This makes me pumped to write more 'Key to the Light'!

13th aka the WORST: FF6

Just joking, though I admit I'm curious to hear why you rank 6 the worst.:applejackconfused:

I have no idea what that pic means...as for the reasons? You don't want me to write a 5 million page essay on why I hate that game. I hate ever part of the miserable ugly disgusting piece of gutter ridden piece of garbage.

Trust me, you don't wanna know...

4345672 ...okay. I'll just make a short hand list, how's that? I don't feel like writing everything.

For starters, I hate the story. The story is basically defeat the evil empire that is so evil that their greatest weapon is literally a clown that likes to bully people and becomes a deity because he's a clown.

The main cast are all boring bland characters and most aren't really good in battle. I found Terra, Locke, the uh...gambler and the other mage beside Terra to all be terrible. It was only FF game where I actually used the Blue Mage all the time. The Blue Mage...I NEVER use the Blue Mage. And the Dancer! (Granted, it was Mog the Moogle and I'm a sucker for Moogles) That is a load of **** ******* *******!!!

Thirdly, it's one of the few FF games where I found the music to be absolutely bland. Like...really bland. The main battle music is fine but that's it.

Fourth, it's one of the few FF games where grinding is atrocious. Grinding is frustrating in that game, the combat is extremely slow and the best stuff is literally at the end of the game and even it isn't really any good. Most FF games, there's a way to unlock the goods about halfway. Not this one.

There's about 500 more things, but I'm not in mood to list them. I wanna think back to all the awesome FF15 moments right now. I don't want to drown that awesome game in my hatred for FF6.

4345694
Never played ff6, so I'll take your word for it. My fave would be ff3, I think. It says ff3 on the case, but weird stuff happened with the release, so meh.

4345698 FF3 is a good game. If you like FF3, you'll like FF5. FF5 uses the exact same gameplay style with the class system with some improvements. You'd also probably like Bravely Default. It uses that style as well and is made by Square Enix who make FF.

4345705
Hmm, you said in the blog that you felt like writing, get to it before the feeling goes away. You never know when it will happen again.

4345710 I did. I just published a chapter.

4345714
And no more feeling? Awww............

4345718 No. I'm still writing. Just published the chapter and am writing another. Simple as that.

4345723
OH, good. Think I might start reading, the other ones I am reading have slowed down on updates.

4345725 Its my only story that I try to keep regularly updating. At least once a week...if I can. Its not easy.

4345729
I've been updating my story once every two days (average) for a bit now, before it was when I finished a chapter. It is difficult, but I find that just writing when you can, and sticking to your update schedule, you may have extra material, so you don't need to write for a few weeks, but you of course can.

4345733 When I started 'The Key to the Light', I had about 10 chapters done and I thought if I did one a week and kept writing while I kept updating and I thought I wouldn't catch up to my own writing...but then my job happened. Bad idea. I thankfully quit that blasted job though. However, I'm writing now. That's enough for me.

4345737
That sucks, good for you to get out of that. Keep writing, or the readers may do something drastic.:trollestia:

4345740 *cocks shotgun* Go ahead readers, try me.

4345746
I was more referring to something along the lines of... Finishing the story themselves.

Besides, if you take us out, less feedback for you. And "assembles The Avengers" I got them under my thumb.

4345748 Oh...welp, back to writing!

4345754
We had another conversation. Seems we have a lot to talk about when we get to it.

4345756 Exactly, sorry pal but I'm ending it. I wanna keep writing right now.

:rainbowhuh:

FF6 is the worst? That's weird. Like, really weird.

4346442 No it is not. That game is a ****** ******* piece of ****** ******* **********!!!! AUGH!! I HATE THAT GAME!!!!

4346455 What? I do! Look at one of the earlier comments, I go into detail in why I hate that piece of ****** ******* ********!!!!! And that is just the start of my hatred of that game.

4346457
So.... Tell me, did you play a translated version of the Japanese version?

4346462 The one that is considered to be FF3 on the SNES. Translation doesn't change gameplay though.

4346469
I know that. It's that Kefka was a very dull character in the Jap version, but when FF6 came to America, the translators gave him so much character that he's considered one of the best FF villains alongside Sephiroth and The Emperor of Palamecia from FF2.

4346476 It made me hate him even more. Blasted American translators...

I love Sephiroth and Kuja the most. Kefka is the WORST FF VILLAIN EVER!!!!! I *********** ************* ************************ HATE HIM!!!

4346477
Okaaaay. :twilightoops:

4346483 Sorry. I hate that game that much. Not kidding.

I do love FF15 though, great game if you can get the chance to play it.

At least you liked the Snes version of FFIII, not the remake on the DS. Like your list but thanks to the remake I can't look at FFIII the same. What didn't you like about FFIV? It is one of my favorites.

4347100 If you look at the previous comment over FF6, my criticisms toward FF4 are similar, especially in terms of gameplay, story and music. I didn't mind its grinding as much though. Its gameplay in particular I don't like due to constant switching of characters and most of its cast are...annoying in my mind. And the only ones I like die or other garbage happens to them. I don't know, Its been a while since I played FF4, I just remember hating it...its probably switchable with FF8 for me.

And I've only played the FF3 remake, sorry pal. Oh, and you are taking about FF3 and not FF6 on the SNES, correct? Because SNES FF3 is FF6.

4347382
In FFIV most of the "deaths" save Tellah's are Disney deaths. As Yang, the Twins, Cid, and Edward all still alive at the end and in certain ports can be readded to the party, but I also found the party changes annoying but on the plus side it does have one of my favorite characters Rydia. I forgot that FFIII was on the Nes, I played the remake and giving the bosses two attacks a round gets annoying really quickly, I have played a rom of FFIII and found that it was better.
So I tend to dislike FFIII DS but like the Nes version. I guess I can tell you that my list is similar but different from worst to best:
FFXII
FFIII
FFVIII
FFX
FFII
FFI
FFXIII
FFIV
FFV
FFVI
FFIX
FFVII
Haven't played: FFXV

4348763 I love 7 and 9...but my list is a bit different for yours. I will say though, you might like FF15. I will warn you though, it is really different from the usual FF fare. If you've played Kingdom Hearts and liked it, you'll like it a bit more. The guy behind that series was one of the two directors of the game and it shows.

4348789
I've played Kingdom hearts 1 and 2 and some of the spin-offs. but sadly I'll not be able to play the third. I'm able to understand most of the plot behind the game, yet there are still some questions that need answering.

4349105 A lot hasn't still been answered. That's just how the series works.
