Hello everypony,
If you saw my previous blog post, you know I'm cancelling a bunch of stories. This includes The Rainboom Thieves.
I want to start by saying sorry, but...well, the reason I'm cancelling it is because I have no interest in it and I don't know where the story goes from it. When I got to the point I was at in the story, I had lost interest and...when I looked back at the story, I really was not good at writing. At all.
However, when I originally got to the point of the story where its been stuck at, I didn't know where to go with it. I had some ideas, but nothing concrete. As such, I decided to just sit on my other stories and come back...and I never came back.
That's why I'm cancelling it. I don't know what to do with the story, and I honestly have little interest now.
Now, as for what would have happened...there's not much. There was two main things I wanted to do with the story. One was another fight between Twilight and Celestia, and then a sort of finale where the Mane Six have all gotten their rainbow powers and fight both Discord and Nightmare Moon at the same time. It ends with Twilight seemingly getting killed at the end of the story, only to reveal she fakes her death and leaves Equestria. (I know that sounds convoluted, and that's because the story leading up to that was something I never figured out) After that, I was going to do a mini-story where my version of Twilight meets canon Twilight in some 'magic mirror crossover' type of thing.
Either way, this story was a lesson for me. I'm glad I did it, and I'm sorry that I wasn't able to finish it. I apologize, and I hope no one is too disappointed in me.
It's worth it to cancel things rather than sit on them indefinitely. I've seen authors simply incapable of saying 'enough's enough', both here and IRL, and it's really rather disheatening, So, I think you made the right choice, especially when you have several other stories you are interested in going on.

Good luck with your other fics. Since you will cancel the story, will you let others to make their own version of this story? Just asking, because I really liked this story and would like to see it completed in one way or another. It was this fic which got me to actually join the site, because I wanted to comment the story that much.
