Five Stages - thinking of retitling it. · 10:48pm Dec 5th, 2016
So I started writing Five Stages with the idea of using the story to show Sunset's transfer through the five stages of grief following the events of the first chapter. The way the story has evolved naturally has caused me to rethink how I'm going to have her process her grief and her trouble accepting SciTwi's affection.
And then it became much less a grieving story and more of a coming to acceptance. Acceptance of forgiveness, acceptance of loss, acceptance of belonging.
So now I'm not only trying to write lyrics for a Countess Coloratura (RaRa) song, I'm also trying to come up with a suitable new name, and how to bring the CHS side of the story more into this piece. I've liked the whole Sunset getting to visit 'Home' aspect but I'm rather ignoring the EG group as a whole, so I'm probably going to head back through the mirror after this next chapter.
While writing this, I thought on something a friend said about things moving a bit fast, and all I can think is "Denial" can cause us to do some silly things.
Like ignoring how someone called me on the out of nowhere nickname to keep the two Twilight's separate. Meh.
Back to writing.
