I just crossed it.
Work on Substitute continues slowly, but steadily. As far as drafting goes, I am in the home stretch, I think. Probably a little less than that but, still. Nonetheless, I've reached a milestone!
As of a few moments ago, the total draft for Substitute reached 100,000 words!
By formal definition, Substitute has now surpassed the traditional definition of a novel and is now classified as an epic. This is a pretty neat distinction, and I'm happy that Substitute fits it (it feels like it should, and it felt like it should from the start). And the ride isn't over just yet!
For anypony that's curious, the 100,000th word is... wanted .
