Pick Up (Big Mac's perspective)

While he is happy that Apple Bloom and Cosgrove are still a pair, Big Mac still had one thing on his mind. Magical creatures both cute and creepy will keep arriving, his sisters and close friends having powers, and now the band has diminished from sixteen to nine. With what happened in their hometown, let alone his family farm the last three times, the future is what matters. It’s time he had a word.

While his sister dressed up for the Fall Formal, Big Mac looked out the window. With him needing the truck, it won’t be long before Cosgrove’s CRV enters their land. He looks upstairs, remembering what to say. He turns to the window again, finding the CRV parked a few meters beyond the front porch. He opens the door at the same time as Cosgrove leaves the car with his brother Dapplewood and Anon, the new kid in town. While the costume is fake, the equid head the Junior male donned is a constant reminder of why Mac must talk to him.

“Nice… Sunshine, isn’t it?” Said Anon, though his effort to break the silence is in vain as the young man of the house stepped forward.

“I want a word with you.” Big Mac asks to Cosgrove, who looks to Anon and Dapplewood.

“Wait on the porch.” Cosgrove asks of them before joining Big Mac, walking with him around the house. The older man stops and turn around.

“Cosgrove, I thank you for waiting so long.” Big Mac leans to the left, getting a little glance of the front porch. “How are you feeling?”

“I’m fine,” - Cosgrove scratches his hair - “though I still feel a bit stupid for thinking that Apple Bloom dancing with Tender Taps is her answer.” He notices Mac looking down. “Hey, what’s up?”

“It’s just that with you, Apple Bloom, AJ and your pals saving the world from all them toothy critters, I just wish I played more to the part.”

“Hey,”- Cosgrove steps forward, inching his animal snout at Big Mac - “if it wasn’t for your acting, we wouldn’t get everyone out of that warehouse.”

Big Mac chuckles; while that was a one time stunt, it was pretty funny just to toy with a cybernetic bear-bird.

“Either way, whatever does happen, promise me that you’d look out for Apple Bloom.” Big Mac watches Cosgrove cross his heart, giving him reassurance.

“So, taking Cheerilee on a date?” Cosgrove takes a glance at the front then looks back at Big Mac, his stoic expression failing. “That’s why you wanted the truck, right?”

“Eeyup.” Big Mac gives before he finds Anon behind his smaller friend, getting Cosgrove to turn around.

“Yes?” The yellow and violet man asked, his face looking puzzled. The new kid calms himself, standing like a soldier.

“Cosgrove, we're ready to go.”
