SuperPinkBrony12

I'm a brony and a Pinkie Pie fan but I like all of the mane six, as well as Spike. I hope to provide some entertaining and interesting fanfics for the Brony community.

    Episode Re-Review: Grannies Gone Wild

Well, Tell Your Tale finally decided to try to do something interesting, because the last episode showed Sunny's mom in a flashback. But they didn't even give her a name, let alone elaborate on what happened to her. And given the way Tell Your Tale progresses, I'm not expecting any follow-up anytime soon. Getting back to G4, Season 8 hit its first stumbling block only four episodes in, and the

Episode Re-Review: Fake It 'Til You Make It

Oh joy, it's back to Season 8. Season 9 has its fair share of detractors, but hardly anyone I know ever sings Season 8's praises, and for good reason. We now know that the School of Friendship was added at Hasbro's request because they wanted the show to wrap up with nine seasons, forcing the writers to change their plans for the pillars. About the only good thing to come out of Season 8 seems to

Special Re-Review: Equestria Girls: Forgotten Friendship

While we now know that this has to take place not just before Season 8 but before the events of the 2017 FiM movie, it first premiered in February of 2018, about a month before Season 8 of FiM hit the airwaves. Interestingly, the Discovery Family broadcast omitted several scenes that were later released as part of an "extended" version. As for the writer, it was none other than Nick Confalone,

    Episode Re-Review: Uncommon Bond

After the absolute disaster that was "Secrets and Pies", Season 7 really needed something to redeem it and give it the chance to go out on a high note, especially now that the big 2017 movie had come and gone, and the show's future was still uncertain. Josh Haber, after having returned to the story editor's chair and ultimately taking back the reigns fully from Joanna Lewis and Kristine Songco

Top Ten Pegasi, Version 4 · 1:08pm Oct 31st, 2016

Here's the third version, from the end of Season 5 Just like the Earth Ponies list before it. Let's see who made it onto the list, who dropped off, who moved up, and who moved down.

10. Fleetfoot
Why she was added: If there was anything "Newbie Dash" did even remotely right, it was Fleetfoot's character. She wasn't egotistical or obnoxious, she was actually willing to talk to Rainbow Dash, until she got creeped out by her Applejack impersonation. Considering that even the IDW comics suggested Fleetfoot is very egotistical and thinks very highly of herself, this was the kind of potrayal she was overdo for. It's just too bad it came in such a terrible episode. I would include Misty Fly as well, but she only really got "Top Bolt" to stand out and even then it was only for the start and close of the episode.

9. Dizzy Twister a.k.a Orange Swirl
Why she stayed the same: Dizzy made cameo appearance at least twice this season, once during "A Hearth's Warming Tail" and once during "The Cart Before The Ponies". The possibility of her being Scootaloo's mother got a small boost this season, as she was seen at the castle serving refreshments during the Hearth's Warming Party, and we know Scootaloo was in attendence. However, she was not seen in the crowd at all during the reprise of "Hearth's Warming Eve" is here once again (Scootaloo was seen standing beside Sweetie Belle's parents, though then again Diamond Tiara and Silver Spoon were standing beside Cheerilee and we know Diamond Tiara at least has a family) and she was also in the crowd watching the Applewood Derby during "Giddyup Derby Racers". I included her over Stormy Flare largely because Stormy Flare was completely absent this season, and didn't even get a mention at any point.

8. Night Glider
Why she moved down: The equal four didn't get as big a chance to shine this season as they did last season, only popping up for a little while in both parts of "To Where And Back Again". Night Glider was still not mentioned by name (but to be fair I don't believe any of the equal four were), and she still largely remains the poor man's Rainbow Dash and I don't recall seeing any ship fics with her that paired her up with somepony besides Double Diamond.

7. Spitfire
Why she stayed the same: Spitfire returned to the spotlight this season, but sadly more screen time did not equal better performances from her. "Newbie Dash" did alright with her and The Wonderbolts, and the fandom is still speculating on what her embarrassing nickname is (general conesus is that's something naughty or mature), but "Top Bolt" revealed that she apparently likes her drill sergenant McNasty routine a little too much, and once again she seems oblivious to bad behavior from Wonderbolts cadets, and unlike Lightning Dust there really isn't an excuse when Vapor Trail was anything but subtle. Interestingly, Spitfire's VA actually served as Gaia Everfree's singing voice in "Legend of Everfree" so hopefully this is a sign that we'll get to hear Spitfire sing at some point.

6. Daring Do a.k.a A. K. Yearling
Why she moved up: "Stranger Than Fanfiction" showed much more believeably than "Daring Don't" how Daring Do being real could work. Whereas in "Daring Don't" she was something of a damsal in distress (albeit intentionally according to Daring Do), in "Stranger Than Fanfiction" she actually came to Rainbow Dash and Quibble Pants' rescue, and she wasn't dismissive of Quibble Pants or his suggestions. I do have to ask one question though: Are we sure Daring Do isn't related to Rainbow Dash or Quibble Pants? Rainbow Dash looks like a palette swap of Daring Do, and Quibble Pants looks like Daring Do if she were a stallion.

5. Soarin
Why he moved down: Well, it was kind of hard to top Soarin's outstanding potrayal in "Rarity Investigates", and while "Newbiw Dash" seemed to cement that he's still a nice guy among The Wonderbolts, it also tried to use his to justify The Wonderbolts embarrassing nicknames but in the process it ends up shooting its own logic in the foot. It's one thing to make fun of someone for a mistake they made where no one got hurt and or they only hurt themselves a little. But making fun of someone for esentially breaking a limb and causing themselves serious physical injury, even if they acted stuck up or rude, is another. I'm sure Soarin didn't find it funny to be reminded of that painful incident.

4. Derpy
Why she moved up: While she went back to being a silent background character, she got to make at least four major cameos this season. One in "No Second Prances" where it seems her wall eyes do indeed make flying difficult for her, one in "The Cart Before The Ponies" where we learn that as a wall eyed filly she beat filly Rarity at the Applewood Derby for Most Creative Cart, one in "Where The Apple Lies" where more than likely she went in for corrective eye surgery that didn't work, and one in "To Where And Back Again, Part 1" where she delivered mail to Starlight. Interestingly, Derpy's human counterpart spoke in "Legend of Everfree" with the same voice her pony counterpart had, but like before the DHX staff is officially calling her Muffins to avoid controversy.

3. Rainbow Dash
Why she moved down: For the first time since this list was created, Rainbow Dash has moved down. Season 6 was quite frankly a terrible season for her, with only "Stranger Than Fanfiction" and arguably "Top Bolt" being any good for her. For the rest of the season, whenever it was time for Rainbow Dash to be in the spotlight, her flaws had to consistently be exaggerated to painful and uncomfortable levels. And after the previous season had Rainbow Dash finally mellowing out and becoming more mature, this regression of her character is not excuseable. If the DHX staff did it to remind us that Rainbow Dash still has a hard time thinking before she acts, they really shouldn't bother, if you have to remind us of a character's personality or defining flaw, then maybe that's a sign that your character can do without it. "South Park" thought it had to remind viewers that Eric Cartman was a terrible person, and the result was one of the despised episodes of the entire show.

2. Scootaloo
Why she moved up: Even though she's still only got two focus episodes after six seasons, Scootaloo was given the opportunity to start shining on her own again after she only really got the B plot of "Brotherhooves Social" to do so last season. She seems to have picked up her unofficial big sister's love of extreme sports, and it does seem a bit ironic for a pegasus to love bungie jumping (bungie jumping is all about falling, pegasi are all about flying). "The Fault In Our Cutie Marks" provided an interesting parallel struggle from Scootaloo at the same time she and the other Crusaders were trying to help Gabby, and I feel like GabbyLoo has the potential to be like a next generation GildaDash, but hopefully without the phase of strained friendship. Scootaloo still needs more of those focus episodes though, especially ones elaborating on her home life and ones that have her interact with someone besides Rainbow Dash or her fellow Crusaders.

1. Fluttershy
Why she stayed the same: Season 6 Fluttershy is the Fluttershy I've been waiting to see more of since the end of Season 3. She was never a wimp and she never regressed in her character growth. Heck "Flutter Brutter" was a surprisingly assertive potrayal for her, and the rest of Season 6 did not disappoint. Maybe it's because all of her focus episodes had her sharing the spotlight with someone else, but hopefully this trend will continue in Season 7, and hopefully Fluttershy will get more episodes (she only got 3, the least of all the mane seven).

And there you have it. Come back tomorrow when we take a look at the top ten unicorns.

For me, my top four are:
1. Rainbow Dash
2. Scootaloo
3. Soarin
4. Night Glider

For me, my top five are:
1: Rainbow Dash
2: Spitfire
3: Scootaloo
4: Daring Do
5: Soarin

Good list and reasoning.

Heck, maybe you could include a Top List for Reformed Villains (after all, you have one for NON-reformed ones; it's seems only fair that you have one for reformed ones too).

4279051 Interesting, but I think we all know who'd be number 1.
