... You know... Somehow, I'm not quite sure why I bothered to get my hopes up... At least several of you have commented that you want the next chapter, to update, and so forth, yet when I post a blog asking for help to do just that, out of the 422 people following the story, only two dozen of you even clicked on the blog, and out of the two dozen of you, only one person could be bothered to take the three seconds it would have taken to scroll down and click like on the option you wanted to vote for. Just...
Is this really worth the time and effort I'm putting in, trying to write the next chapter, feeling so horribly guilty? Because, at least at the time of me writing this?
I don't see why I should give a rat's ass anymore. If only one person could be bothered to take a few seconds, not even a minute, to help me, the author, deliver the next chapter and get things rolling again... Why should I spend my time for one person? Granted, I am highly grateful for that one person, whoever it was, since I was feeling crushed that no one could be assed to answer, but...
If this is how you guys are going to be... I may as well just give up and make part two more or less unrelated... Or maybe just write something else altogether. I just... I'm sorry... I really thought I would actually complete this story, but since the enthusiasm for it to continue and move on to part two is literally less than a quarter of a percent of my readers... I just don't really have the energy or the passion to keep writing. I wanted to make stories that others would enjoy, but clearly I have failed if only one person out of 422 people could be bothered to try to help.
I... I'm going to go work on a silly one-shot for now, I guess... Maybe in a week or two there might actually be more than a single vote, so I know where to take the shipwreck that is starting to feel like Pokemon...
Sorry, just returned from a school trip and had not seen my notifications...
There were, like, three pokemon stories that I started reading a while back and stopped updating and I don't remember which one this was. So honestly when you have the really vague options I don't even know what you were talking about.
An actual update could get me back into the story and caring again? But I'd have to go reread part of the story to spark my memory and basically do homework before I could answer a poll like that. It's not 'a few seconds'.
As the one guy who voted I'd like to say that I'm disappointed that no one else joined me. This story has huge potential and I'd hate to watch it die out. Growing up I fell in love with gen one Pokémon and to see a story staring my second favorite eveelution(sorry flare, but Jolt's got ya beat.) I couldn't help but add it to my favorites list. As this story has gone on I had hoped to at least see more eveelutions, but as the author ultimately the amount of characters in a story are up to you. Just want you to know, if you feel like you need to take a break before getting back to this story, take as long as you need. We can wait.
May the light of Aether guide your way.

The blog must have gotten buried in my feed, I didn't even notice it.
