Recently over on The Witching Hour group forum (yes, there is a group dedicated to this story; newcomers can find it here!) I made a post regarding that one-shot crack fic I wrote for this past April Fools Day. Mainly, that I’ve started wanting to expand a bit more on the premise, proving again that one-shots that stay one-shots are something that eludes me. That said, I asked the good people of the group to come up with ideas, mainly the kirin offspring I allude to at the end of the fic. I think there’s just a lot of potential for some fun short stories surrounding a boat-load of kirin growing up together who all have the same parent.
I’m now reaching out further and asking any and all of my followers if they want to add their two bits to the pot. I’m not asking for whole chapters, although you’re welcome to; all I’m asking for is if you like a particular shipping with our favorite kirin, then what kind of offspring would it produce, and who are they as a character?
Yeah, I’m basically asking you guys for ideas for me to roll with to make short chapters as a small distraction from the main story. Might help keep the creative juices flowing, too.
If you're interested, here are Basic details I’m looking for:
Who the kirin’s mother is (since Midnight is essentially the father), their color combinations, their personality, and any relationships they might have (who are they friends with, for example). I’m not asking for cutie marks because I think names and personalities will be enough of a headache already. Heck, just shoot me an idea for a chapter and I’ll keep it under consideration (fillies x, y, and z do a thing can be good enough).
You guys can pick any mare for the shipping, but here’s a list just to help you get started:
Sapphire Breeze, Windrunner, Honeycomb, Twilight Sparkle, Applejack, Rainbow Dash, Pinkie Pie, Rarity, Fluttershy, Berry Punch, Derpy Hooves, Vinyl Scratch, Lyra Heartstrings, Zecora, Cheerilee, Octavia, Aloe, Lotus, Vera, Mane Goodall, Red Heart, Mayor Mare, Bon Bon, Roseluck, Lily Valley, Cloud Kicker, Blossomforth, Cloud Chaser, Flitter, Raindrops, Daisy, Carrot Top, Sunset Shimmer, Sonata Dusk, Starlight Glimmer, Eden Rose, Adagio, Aria, (I guess we could add in the Shadow Bolts AND all the human counterparts, but how and why they're in Equestria would be up to you).
So, go forth, my friends! Hit me with you best shots! Or, even better, use this as an excuse to write your own kirin fic! Flood the site with them! Make this such a large thing that the writers can’t help but put a kirin character in the show! We will be cannon! *Laughs evilly and maniacally*
