Fan art for The Pony Who Lived Upstairs

Here's a piece of fan art that made me giggle and be all tickled and amused when my friend Mbala gave it to me. I've posted it on Chapter 12 of The Pony Who Lived Upstairs, which is about where I was in the novel when he created it. Derpy's mane and tail are actually a pale yellow in the original. As background--I used to play Derpy as a wizard character on a pony roleplaying venue

The Pony Who Lived Upstairs featured on Royal Canterlot Library

I'm delighted to report that The Pony Who Lived Upstairs has been reviewed and featured by the Royal Canterlot Library, a band of avid pony writers and readers who enjoy collecting and spotlighting quality stories. Their erudite description made me laugh with joy! As it happens, the curator who

New pony story from my archives of embarrassment!

So, I just posted the first chapter of a story I began way back in 2013 after the Season 3 finale aired. I know a lot of people didn't like that episode, but I loved it--it's still my favorite to this day. It inspired me to begin not one but two stories--the not-very-good "Cutie Mash" is the one I shared on this site, but there was another I began called "Frames of Folly." I was saving

Final Chapter Coming Soon... I hope? · 6:26am Oct 6th, 2016

Readers of The Pony Who Lived Upstairs have been waiting too long for the 24th and final chapter of their tale! Why haven't I put it out yet? Well, one reason is the beginning of the school year, which is when I'm busiest... but the real blame has to lie with the fickle nature of a writer. You see, just as I reached the final chapter of my pony story, I was seized with inspiration to develop a concept for a fanfic series in a different fandom. And instead of writing a chapter or two like a normal person might, I wrote 24 chapters of that. The chapters aren't quite as long as the ones in Pony Upstairs, but there's going to be more of them. I have managed to pull myself away from that other fanfic in order to work on this one, however... and I think I'm now excited enough about it to finish things off pretty soon.

I have a deadline, of sorts, that I imposed on myself long ago. I need to finish The Pony Who Lived Upstairs before the end of Friendship is Magic, Season 6 airs, because there are references to Season 6 in the story that I put in back when Season 4 was on the air! I didn't think it would take me two years plus to finish. Go figure! So October 22nd is my hard deadline. I'm going to really try to get this done before a small convention the weekend of the 15th, though! And if I'm not done yet, I'll bring my laptop and work on it there. :twilightsheepish:

In the meantime, if any of you want to see more of my work and happen to be fans of Undertale, you can visit fanfiction dot net and look up the in-progress story "Alphys and the Queen." :twistnerd::trollestia: I'll post more about it when it's finished.

That's weirdly depressing to hear. I've been reading your story almost for as long as I've been registered here. Knowing that it'll be over soon and that you probably won't be writing another one is taking away a pleasant constant from this place.

mind if i ask the name of small convention?

Sad it's coming to an end - this is one of my favourite stories on the site.
Many thanks!
