Once upon time, there were two filly unicorns who lived in poverty inside a completely enclosed walled city. The city was kept watched by a corrupted alicorn with the help of the monsters known as drac - okay I'm going to stop spoiling the story to let you all read it for yourselves. This is one of those fics that I like to call "Golden Oldie Classics" which are in this case pony fanfictions written around the time when Seasons 1 and 2 were still airing. The Steadfast Sky is a very long adventure story (and when I say "very long", I mean this fic has 79 chapters!) about the younger versions of Celestia, Luna and Discord escaping their home city and discover the secrets of the Old Gods, the Nightmares and the Elements of Harmony.
And that's about it without spoiling too much. If you all like and enjoy very long adventure fics set in Equestria's past with Celestia, Luna and Discord being friends, I recommend you this story for your enjoyment.
