Ah, October; the month of my birth as well has best holiday.
And it's only gotten better.
P.P.O.V. was a very good episode with AJ and Rarity showing off their costumes for this year (pirate and Rose from Titanic respectfully). Just one problem:

Star Wars Rebels S3E03 was nice, but can we PLEASE just kill off Maul? We got Grand Admiral Thrawn now, we don't need the villain from Episode I anymore.
Back to my own projects, I've collected all the ships in Sunset's Imperial Fleet and completely painted Squeaks' UNSC Fleet. Pics to follow soon. Still gonna work on future Witching Girls chapters for the next week (with maybe a snippet or two for you guys) but right after that it's back to the next chapter.

Well, I've noticed we've got an imbalance of creatures on the show; one kirin, two humans, and two draconequui, so I decided to balance everything out using one of Ink's semi-abandoned ideas! It even ties into the new movie!
NO! Calypso, you put that kirin back! I'm serious!
Kirin? Nope, I got another species in here!
Wait, you don't have another kirin in there and you got it from one of my projects... CALYPSO! NO!
I've got us another draconequus! Say hi to Dev! Also known as the Jersey Devil!

WHY!? I've already got the four of you driving me insane, why an INCOMPLETE idea too!?
Because of the idea you came up with during PoNYCon 2016:
The Spectacular Seven are on a free, one month "campout" in an area south of Manehattan called The Pine Barrens (no official ponified New Jersey name, so skipping it entirely). Maud won the trip after a lecture she gave at a local college, and the "camp site" is a large cabin for 8 that does have some modern amenities (bathroom w/ shower and electrical outlets). While settling in, Sci-Twi looks up the region and the Jersey Devil comes up in her search. Other than a good ghost story for around the camp fire, they all dismiss it. Several days go by without incident until they wander a little farther away from the cabin and get lost. As it starts to get dark, Rainbow teases them all with what they read about the Jersey Devil until they stumble upon the half-eaten corpse of a deer. They all try to control themselves until they turn around and the Jersey Devil is right behind them. It roars and they all bolt, with Sunset and Twi running away together. The devil chases them and soon corners them in some sort of dirt alcove. When it gets close enough to bite them, it stops, taking large sniffs aimed at Sunset. Finally, it backs up, stares at them, then leaves. Sunset and Twi are soon found by the others, Rainbow makes quip about Sunset's bathing habits, and they all finally find their way back to the cabin. Another few days pass with no sign of the creature and they all start to chalk it up to freaking out over the deer carcass. Then, while they're sitting around the campfire that night, the devil returns, all his attention focused on Sunset. Before any of them can come to her defense, he makes a happy sound and nuzzles her, knocking her to the ground as he does so. Glad that he's not eating her but confused as hell, they just shrug and accept this for now. However, now that she can see him better in the firelight, he seems familiar to Sunset, as in she thinks she's seen some kind of illustration of him somewhere. Seeing as he won't stop following her around, they all decide to just let him sleep in the cabin next to Sunset's and Twi's bunk-bed. Maud doesn't care as long as he doesn't make a mess. All the next day that recognition still bothers Sunset, as well as the Devil getting underfoot. Finally, she asks Rarity to draw him in her journal and writes to Princess Twilight, asking if she recognizes the creature. When they're done, Pinkie says he'd be a really cool pet, seeing as he follows Sunset around like one and insists that Sunset names him. After a good half hour of Pinkie pestering her about it, also pointing out that they can't just keep calling him devil or the Jersey Devil all the time, she finally chooses Dev. By now they've all kind of gotten used to Dev, even Fluttershy, and he has no problem interacting with them either, but he sticks close to Sunset. Fluttershy notes that he's acting almost like a duckling following it's mother. Princess Twilight gets back to them then next day and tells them that, while she can't confirm anything unless she meets him in person, she has it on good authority that Dev is indeed a draconequus, most likely a youngster by the size of him, and she had no idea why he didn't turn human when he somehow traveled between worlds. She tells them the best thing to do is not upset him in anyway and bring him back through the portal when they get back. As they discuss whether or not to head home early, Dev finally gets his claws on the book (ever since Sunset brought it out he's been trying to get at it) and begins pouring his magic, which has more or less dormant up to now, into it. This causes a portal similar to the ones Sci-Twi opened up to open right beneath the girls, causing them all to fall into Equestria. Dev drops the book and follows them down. As the girls get back to their feet, Sunset sees Maud looking down into the portal after them and calls up to her to write to Princess Twilight about what happened, then the portal closes.
And here would start the gang trying to find their way to Ponyville and the mirror to get back home, trying to figure out what to ultimately do with Dev along the way. So far I don't really have any ideas for when they get into Equestria or how much Sunset would eventually embrace her relationship with Dev. Either she takes him back through the mirror, which turns him human, and taking care of him like a big sister/foster mom, or leaving him behind in Equestria for his own good. I want to keep it more comical than sad or dark, mainly focused around Sunset trying to corral Dev and the many things they run into in Equestria.

And it's incomplete! I don't know if he's going to ultimately be a good guy, bad guy, anti-hero, or what! Makers only know what he's going to do out here in the In-Between!
But he'd be a great way to make your version of the movie more original! Gloriosa could use him to help with her plans and Sunset could turn him to her side!
