Substitute - The critical point pt. 2 · 5:05am Sep 8th, 2016
A few days ago I spoke of the critical point of the story. I return now with not just one but two pieces of news.
Firstly, I have finished the critical point scene. And it turned out very well, I think. I nearly fried my brain a few times as I wrote it, but hot damn was it worth it. Besides, 3,000 words in two days is fairly impressive.
I'm officially in the endgame now, I think!
Secondly, and what actually prompted me to write this blog post detailing my success on that endeavor, is a piece of information that coincides pretty nicely with the completion of this scene.
Substitute has, as of this moment, surpassed a combined drafted and published length of 86,000 words. It is officially longer than Feedback.
I'm currently wrapping up this chapter and then I will have three more chapters to draft after it, so I calculate that Substitute will settle in around 110k words once I am done with it. I can almost taste it right now.
