The good news is that my editor has gone over the chapter. More good news is that he's given me some good suggestions on how to make it better. One of those is to take the 5k word chapter, split it in two, and add more content to both to fill them out. I'll leave it to you to decide if that's good or bad. The bad news is that with school having started up, I'm back to having more of my time occupied, especially with one of my classes passing out difficult assignments right out of the gate. Because of that, I haven't been able to get around to working on writing since I've gotten those suggestions. To rectify this, I plan on spending as much of this upcoming Sunday writing and not much else. With some luck, I should be able to get at least one of these chapters cranked out, get a final edit, and have it up soon. (Haven't heard that before, right?)

Personally I like the advice you're editor gave you, it seems to be a good decision.
excellent, looking forward to the new chapter. I'll probably do a re-read of the story when you update. Honestly i'd be fine with a longer chapter, but i'm not an editor and I haven't seen it. Good luck with school. I've had some rough quarters (and i'll have more) so I understand your pain.
