It's been a long December and there's reason to believe...

Maybe this year will be better than the last.

I'd say more, but let's not tempt fate, she seems to be having a rough year too.

    Have you voted yet?

This isn't an endorsement, I have no facts and figures to offer you, no scandals to mention. I'll just say that this election may well be the most noteworthy in quite some time for the turnout, and early voting is still happening tomorrow. If you mailed yours in, check to make sure it was received. If it wasn't, there is still time to vote in person and cancel the mail in. No matter how you do

Buck It All · 7:25am Sep 4th, 2016

So... interesting episode. But I'm starting to wonder if the Apple Family doesn't just make up new traditions to confuse the rest of the town.

I adored the idea of Pinkie and Shy being awesome at something because they just have fun doing it. Of course, then the completely expected happened, with our competitive girls trying to drive that same thing into Pinkie and Fluttershy of all ponies.

Now... we come to the weird part.

Buck ball needs a unicorn who can deftly manipulate a medium sized bucket into place to catch balls as they leave the playfield. I loved Snails in this role, but holy shit... we needed a unicorn...

Dash and AJ asked every unicorn they knew...

And none of their unicorn friends, even the new one who is trying to learn how to be a better friend could make it to help out.

I wish we had even a throwaway like for this, like

"Too bad Rares was busy."

"Yeah, Twi and what'shername too!"

Just... c'mon, show...

Anyway, fun episode, Pinkieshy shipping squees, and Snails was the man. That is all.

Now to work out how to get that animated picture as my wallpaper without my laptop having an aneurysm...

4191284
Can...Can wallpapers do that??

4191317

Well, you can set it as a slideshow, do some dodgy DOS wizardry to set the slide transition rate to about 17 frames per second, then sequentially go through all the frames of the .gif...

Thus me needing to figure out how to get this to work without having massive aneurysms, yeah.

Twilight I can understand not being asked because she's an Alicorn, and that might considered an unfair advantage. As for Rarity, i honestly can't see her wanting to do something like this, so it would be pointless to ask. I completely agree about Starlight though, they could have asked her and then have her mention that she's helping out Twilight with something, or even that she was visiting Sunburst in the Crystal Empire.

Did love seeing Snails step up and pull it off though.

I can understand the need for those throwaway things in this situation, better than most other times anyway, but it still is what it is and we can't do anything. :derpyderp1::rainbowderp::twilightoops:

Definitely a fun episode for a fun season, though. :yay::eeyup::twilightsmile::ajsmug::rainbowdetermined2:

4191905 Because simple levitation through the air can be an unfair advantage, right. :ajbemused::rainbowhuh::facehoof:

Not to mention they could have at least given Twilight, Rarity and Starlight the option to say no by asking each of them, as a friendly courtesy. :trixieshiftright::derpyderp2:

Oh my gosh! :pinkiegasp: You reviewed another episode. I also thought this episode was a lot of fun. I go into it more on a molecular level in my own review.

I agree though with the critique about them not even asking Twilight, Rarity, and Starlight. Still though, Twilight is an alicorn, so that could be considered cheating even if she is just holding a basket with her Unicorn powers. Rarity's not much of a sportspony, so she's not going to want to do it anyway. Starlight, however, there's no clear reason why she wouldn't. It's just another example of the writers kind of forgetting that she exists.
