The Empress Rarity (Finished) · 2:48am Aug 31st, 2016

Finished!

It took a while, but I'm glad this is finished and you have the Crystal Empress here.

A short except about her regalia from Chapter 1 of ER250

Designed by Empress Rarity herself, the Regalia of the Crystal Empire left no doubt about her absolute rule, while still reflecting her natural generosity. It incorporated a three pronged crown and chest plate like the Alicorn Princesses of Equestria, but the greaves and purple cape were more similar to the ones worn by the ancient rulers of the Empire. Save for the cape, each element of the Regalia was made of platinum and socketed with gems, shaped in the pattern of the snowflake emblem of her Empire.

I didn't go with the snowflake emblem, and opted instead for a look-a-like to the Element of Generosity. If you saw the last blog post, I altered Rarity's hair, cape, slight modifications to her peytral, and adjust the crown. And added a lot more engravings into the regalia as well.

I totally enjoyed, the crystal coat is a pain in the ass if you don't have the right programs, which I don't. I use a Sketchbook App on my Samsung Tablet.

Can't wait to keep doing a few more of these. Got about 6,000 words to write before that (and bed) though.

Cool!! Nicely done!

So sparkly! :raritystarry:

Is that the one ring?

Not exactly. The One Ring gave me the idea of the engravement pattern, but I just did some squiggly line things based off of how I do a cursive J.

Chapter 16 ยท 17th Oct 2015

How did I miss this?! On the bride side, at least now I know what I'll read after finishing Fallout Equestria: Project Horizons. *squee*

There is also the sequel when you're finished with that chapter.

That turned out quite well. I liked the way you did the crystal pattern on her.

I'm a bit torn on the asymmetrical extra armlet (?), though.
