Role Reversal can sometimes be the hardest to write for. It's because of Rarity's voice and mannerisms. I sometimes have to stop and go "That doesn't sound right" when it's coming out of Rarity's mouth and re-do entire parts of the story. Fluttershy, Rainbow Dash, Twilight, Applejack, and Pinkie Pie were easy because it's easy for me to get into their head. Rarity is another pickle altogether. I had trouble with Freudian Slip and I've had trouble with Role Reversal.
But I've gotten through a little stumbling block and am almost done with my next chapter. I should have it within the next few days and I'll probably need some more time to edit. After that, I'll be ready to post and will be on to the next chapter in my rotation.
Now, there is actually a way I've been working on Rarity's way of speaking. But first, story time!
I was hit with some sort of cosmic space radiation and went "I wanna write clopfic". And I dug up an old thought I had years ago after I finished The Candy Sutra. I ended up writing a sort of one-shot side-story to The Candy Sutra, still done in second person and went "Well that was fun. What next?"
And that's when I remembered a thought I had a long time ago. 2nd Person, Male/Male, Rarity r63, Anthro clopfic. And that cosmic space radiation went nuts and in two days, I sat down and wrote 36 pages of freaking clopfic in one day. And I found as I did that, Rarity's [Or Elusive's dialogue rather] came a lot smoother than what I usually do.
And that's how I got 5 pages done today for Role Reversal in one sitting. By writing porn.
But here's the thing...
I got that side-story to The Candy Sutra. And I've got that clopfic. And I was thinking:
Would you like to see these?
If I did post them, it would be a side account. Like "CreeperAfterDark" or something and post any naughty stuff there.
