Remember when obscure Spike shippings that were met with middling reviews and a lot of confused interest popped out of this account like every few months?

Thoughts on the New Episode: Carts Before Ponies · 2:55am Aug 7th, 2016

What's going on, homies?

I got a chance to see the new episode today, and I wanted to share my thoughts on a certain aspect of it. As per the usual, I'll avoid major spoilers. :raritywink:

But just in case, I'll throw in a page break. Check out my thoughts below!

So, all things considered, this was a pretty decent episode. It wasn't head over heels special, but I did enjoy it. It was cute, fun, had a nice song and plenty of Cheerilee, which is always a good thing. However, there was a moral in this story that I couldn't get over.

Somewhere near the end, Sweetie makes a comment about how it can be hard to voice your opinion to older people. Little did she know how much relevance such a sentiment holds for the future, kids and adults alike. Let me explain.

Even as an adult, you'll always have someone in a superior position to you. Whether it's your boss at work, your professor in college, or your parents who are just wishing you'd get your own place. No matter what, you'll always have someone to answer to and it's not always easy to approach them. For example, i run an Arby's restaurant, but I answer directly to my Regional Director. However, it can be very hard sometimes even for me to approach her about issues I'm having. The fear of dissapointing my superior or sounding stupid sometimes takes full control when I have something i wish to talk to her about.

I'm sure many of you have experienced something somewhat similar to this before.

However, this episode taught that, even though it can be hard, you should let your opinions and ideas be known when it's beneficial to do so, even if it's hard. A lot of times, especially in the workplace, those who come forth with new ideas gain respect for taking initiative. I really enjoyed the point this episode brought up.

Anywho, it was hardly the main focus of the episode, but it was something that really caught my attention. How about you guys? Did you all enjoy the new episode? Tell me below! :pinkiehappy:

Rock on, brothers and sisters!

Cool beans, I still have to catch up.:rainbowlaugh:

Huh, that story of yours does redeem the episode somewhat in my light, but the OOCness of certain ponies still makes me dislike the episode for the most part.

I feel you on trying to voice yourself out there to people who are your superiors. Also, I only found a couple moments enjoyable; Rarity losing to you know who, somepony trying to keep her title of best chicken, and Cheerleader Cheerilee.

Wait? Do you mean like own piece of the franchise or do you mean manager at Arby's? And because you work there all the time, do you ever grow tired of their sandwiches? And what's your favorite sandwich there? I personally like the roast beef with cheese. It's gotta have a lot of cheese. Do you play Pokémon Go? What team are you on? When will I ever shut up?

Now, back on topic. I liked the episode. It was kind of hard for me to watch because I knew those kids wanted to make the carts there way and having their older sisters do it their way was painful. I also wished they would have yelled more at their older sisters in the end. But alas! The things I wanted them to say were not appropriate for a show rated Y. But it was a good episode nonetheless. It even had a song! I hope somebody's made a dubstep version. But yeah. Great episode.

4137713 I hope he's Team Valor. He seems like the kind of person, from what I can see from his blog posts anyways.

I've actually not played the game. Outside of a couple games, videogames and such aren't really my thing. But I'd totally be Valor. That sounds cool.

4138170 I've had to reprimand three employees for playing the game instead of working while on the clock. Lol, I have no love for it.

4138170 Are you training to be a librarian?

4138166 Nice! There was supposed to be a picture here but it didn't work out. Valor's motto is "IN THE DARKEST NIGHT, WE ARE THE FLAME!" I liked Valor mostly because of Moltres and Mystic has too many people. I need a gym to fight against when I want poke coins and everything in my area is controlled by mystic. So it works.
