Almost Finished, Feeling the Need to Let out Some Steam · 4:41pm Jul 7th, 2016
Thankfully, I think I see the finish line with my current story. I tell ya, there have been so many roadblocks doing this thing. Surprise family vacation, sad family news, outside responsibilities, seriously strange occurrences of nature just getting in my way, it's all felt like the world was trying to say "Take a break!" But I've weathered the storm and I think the story should be up Saturday as planned. I thank everyone for being patient.
Now, to blow off some steam. I was working at my summer job this morning, nothing new there. While I was on break, I checked up on my fimfiction stats and saw that two of my stories had been thumbed down, but there were no views, meaning someone just thumbed down two of my most beloved stories without even looking at them. Look, I understand I can't please everyone. I can't accept people not liking my stories. Everyone has their own tastes and can like what they want, but automatic thumb downs are just low. They hurt 
Yeah, speaking from experience those just suck big time. People could at least do you a favor and tell you why they downvoted your story.
4075358 This is how it works for me: If I read a story but I'm not really getting into it, I just leave. No thumbs down, no harsh comment, I just leave. Just because I don't feel it doesn't make a it a bad story. I only thumb down a story if something really rubs me the wrong way, and I haven't done that in months if not a year.
Auto down votes are just low. I love my stories. I work hard on them. I rather have them ignored than insulted without even a second glance.
If it makes you feel any better, I enjoy reading your stories. Don't think about the people who thumbed down your fanfics, think about the people who give it a thumps up
And as for your roadblocks, I suggest (I'm not saying you should) that you get on those first and then take a break. I'm sure your followers would understand that.

Second, good point about the people who like my stories. I guess I kinda got hurt by the negative feedback that I forgot about the positive. Thank you.
Third, the roadblocks are still here, but I made a promise to try to post the story Saturday, so I'll try at least. I'm almost finished. It's all a matter of my own satisfaction (I criticize myself immensely ha).
It's great to hear that you managed to finish your new story. But yes you may want to take time to relax a bit so you don't wear yourself out.
And as for your downvoted story. *hugs* Don't worry about it too much, it's just some worthless troll going around causing problems.
