actually, no i did not... I know that if you reply to a comment on a different chapter than the comment was made on, the original commenter won't get a notification about it though.
4050327 Yeah, that's annoying.
What you do is hit reply on the comment, copy the tag (double > followed by some numbers), past it into the comment where you want it to go, and vuala, comment referencing a comment from somewhere else. The confusing part (aside from the obvious), is it doesn't tell you where the original was from.

4050398 I can't think of a good use for it. I had used it to put the reply to an author in a comment on a different chapter than the one his (I assume, may have been her) was on. That made me curious if it would work on another story, so I tried it, and it worked.
