The Lunar Samurai

If you are enjoying my stories, I thank you. Nothing means quite as much to me as someone really appreciating what I put out into the world. So, from the bottom of my heart... Thank You.

I've got a bit of bad news · 11:52pm Jun 24th, 2016

After a bad night's sleep and a major problem surfacing at work, I found out that my dog is dying. This isn't an incredible shock, but it's still pretty surprising as we found out his condition is a lot worse than we originally thought. So, yeah, I'm not sure I can write another chapter tonight. I mean to get to it this week, but I've been playing with my new Vive and working so much that I didn't get around to it.

Regardless, I'm just kinda in a retrospective mood, one that doesn't bode well for writing at the moment. However, I may be able to get another chapter out. Inspiration can come out of this kind of mood, so I'm hoping something positive will come of it.

This is one of the only pictures I could find of him before he lost his coat to his thyroid. His name is Samson.

May 16/17 year old cat died recently. It was basically the same scenario as this. I know your pain.

At times like this, it's okay to step back and deal with something that is more important to you. Take time to mourn. :fluttercry:

The same thing happened to my 17/18 year old cat last summer, she died kind of suddenly of Renal failure. We took her to the vet for a checkup because she wasn't acting like herself and then a few weeks later she was gone. (The hard part was I was off at college when this happened, but at least I got a few days off of work to go say my goodbyes.)
Don't feel you must keep writing to keep us all happy. Be with your dog, let him know you love and care for him. He is what is important right now. But if you need to talk, we will be here to lend a shoulder, if only virtually. :pinkiesad2:

4047518 I tried to write earlier but I just couldn't tackle the challenge. Sorry about your cat, mine died a few years back from seizures at 21years.

Also, thank you. I write cause I love you guys and I know that you've come to expect a regular schedule now and I hate letting you down. I'm just grateful that I can make something of value, even if it is just some fanfiction about talking cartoon horses. The best way I can show that gratitude is by continuing to give what I can for each chapter.

I also get a sick satisfaction out of watching the comments explode when things happen in my stories, but that's just me ;)

Aw *hugs* thanks. And sorry about your kitty too. If only our little ones could live a little longer so we wouldn't have to have so much pain and sorrow!

You're welcome :) Yeah I can see what you mean there, but I would say the true fans understand life happens, and would hopefully be okay with that. I feel the same. Might not have a ton of followers (not sure how many you have *hasn't looked is bad*) but for those who do want to read our stuff it is totally worth it! They keep this little changeling happy. ^.^

Hehe on no I do too! I mean, every new comment is like a little bottle of love juice for this here changeling. By itself it is not much, but over time it adds up. (Anypony who doesn't want a ton of comments/discussion/etc on their stories is either crazy, or is just writing for themselves and doesn't care what others think...)

Its horrible when you have to say goodby to a long and loyal freind or family member, do your best to look at the good times, and you will remember them enjoying themselves whenever you sleep.

Good memories are the way to the Elysium Fields.

Now I better go and remember my dog I had to bury 20 years ago due to wasting age desiese. :fluttercry:
