Still Not Dead (Yet) · 4:17am Jun 13th, 2016
Short version-been way too busy, too frustrated, and not funny enough to write stories.
Long version-My work day for my paying job starts with me waking up at 4:30 am, to catch a 5:20 bus, to be into work before 7 am. I need to catch a bus exactly at 4:40 pm to make it home before 7 pm, else I'm home before 8 pm. Between work, two other creative projects (one paid, one resume-building), and having to do everything remotely chore-related on the weekend...it's been a lot of frustration. Especially since I also owe Estee a story, which I'm still trying to write...
And, now we get to the not funny part. Spoiler alert from here on out-
There's an issue with the next chapter of Dawn of Dusk Shine, i.e. Festival. The issue is that I've been setting up the entire story to hit this particular day and scene...and it's all cringe comedy. I'm not finding cringe comedy funny anymore, I'm not able to find a way to make it funny, and the pacing of the chapter only works with Dusk Shine completely inadvertently flirting with the rest of the Elements, Princess Celestia, and Princess Luna.
(It's all Twilight Sparkle's fault. Really.)
None of my stories are dead. Some are just pining for the fjords, but not dead yet...and with some luck, I'll be able to get them going again soon.
Their not dead yet,... they feel fine!
Hey, it's fine man. We've waited this long, we can wait at little longer for you to find the time to work out that chapter. I'm just glad you're letting us know where you are and why you've been kinda quiet. Here's hoping your schedule will settle some so you can have some to relax and write.
Glad to see your not dead. I find that the best stories usually take a while (unless there already completed) so waiting is no issues. I can't wait to see what the future holds thought
