New Chapter is Coming · 8:44pm Jun 5th, 2016
It's been a little bit longer than I would have hoped for getting this section out, but the serious editing has been finished, and we are doing touch ups at this point. I am excited about the release of this section because it involves some of my favorite humor bits of the ponyville arch. It is a hilarious dramatic mid-climax of the arch that I hope will keep you entertained. The thing I am most excited about is that I get to drop another character tag about who is influential in the story. The pieces are coming together, although there is still a lot of ground to cover. Joker's Wild still has a transient base of interest, but I hope for those of you that are here, I can provide a story that is a different brand of interesting from the myriad of other stories.
On the writing front, I've been taking a break from Joker's Wild, just because we have such a massive back log, to the point where the changes being made in earlier segments make a big impact on the later segments. The entire arch has some lovely stuff if you are willing to wait for it. It is world building and atmosphere, character development, action and comedy, and all the things that make Joker's Wild what it is. My editor also has been egging me on to write and draw Joker's Wild content that shall not be posted here. Hopefully, we can get past any of that and get publishing chapters more often.
With some of the drawing shenanigans going on, there is some possibility of coming up with a Tumbleweed Tumblr ask blog or simply features aside mini-comics that cover some of the humor that I can't fit into the normal chapters as much or as quickly. It would probably be simplified drawing but something entertaining none-the-less.
Bronycon is coming up in a month, and I plan on going. Not doing any panels for this one, but I am planning to organize an FOE meet up in the writer's corner. I am probably going to be complaining about the programming department for the next month straight. Although I won't post it, I will be thinking it quite vehemently. They are going to put the open mic on a sunday at some god awful hour like 1 pm, in the biggest hall imaginable. There is no chance anything worth watching will be there. Open mic should be held in a small room, late at night, with copious amounts of alcohol. You don't have rules on things like "You cannot use offensive material" and keep things "PG". Open mic is the stage to let people do their thing and try to get appreciated without all the frustration of tough audiences, stage fright, or fear of failure. People are drunk, it doesn't matter if you are good. People have a good time. That is what makes comedy clubs work! It is a place for stupid debauchery, not children trying to give one-lined impressions of ponies. The only place that knows less about programming than BC is Big Apple Ponycon, who consistently double and triple booked Andrea Libman and announced Tara Strong as being a guest of the convention when she was going to a dinner for something completely different a few blocks down. Anyway, rant over.
SHUT UP AND TAKE MY BOTTLECAPS
