I've participated in a lot of the /fic/ mini write-offs, where stories were limited to a maximum of 750, 400, or 300 words. It's a great writing exercise. Many of those stories don't lose anything by being longer and giving extra context, mood, or even additional plot threads. When I can, I'll stretch those ones out (the good ones, anyway) to 2500 words or more so they become eligible for Equestria Daily, but there are some good ones in there that simply wouldn't hold up to that much of an increased word count. I stash them all in my minific compilation "Tales of Interest!" anyway, but not a lot of people bother reading through those. Many of them have under 100 views.
I figured I'd take my favorites of the ones that couldn't take being extended to 2500 words and at least get them over 1000 so I can solo post them. I'll try to put up one a week, except on weeks I have a more standard length story to post. Wouldn't hurt to get a few more eyeballs on them.
Since they're mostly ponies, wouldn't that be Tails of Interest?
