Question: What Do? · 4:00am May 8th, 2016
Life has been very stressful lately, but it's starting to settle down, more-or-less. Still feeling kinda "Bleh" though. As a result, though I have three or four fics cooking atm, I'm not sure which one to work on at the moment. As soon as I get underway, I think I'll snap out of this--I just need a little push to get there.
So, which of these would you like to see next?
*For the Good of Equestria, Part 2: Celestia tells of her fight with Nightmare Moon, followed by her attempts to both raise a child and keep Equestria from collapsing.
*For the Good of Equestria: The Alicorn War short-ish dark story, exploring an FtGoE AU: What if Celestia wasn't able to convince Luna to leave Sombra? Answer: lots of bad stuff :(
*For the Good of Equestria: The Best Night Ever: Working title. Short-ish, adorable, romantic-but-not-sexual Flashlight piece, which will eventually become canon to FtGoE (when we get that far, at least). Very mild spoilers for FtGoE, but by this point you should already know it's coming :)
*Whiskey Tango Foxtrot, Part 2: The kids, getting older, now start to come to terms with their own lack of a daddy.
Also, while I have your collective ears: I've been batting around the idea of YET ANOTHER For the Good of Equestria sidefic, in which Celestia makes a brief jaunt into the Human World after first discovering the mirror. I'm thinking she would either travel back into "ancient Greece" (in which case the fic would be titled "Aequestrian Girls") or the 1990s, when she meets her college sophmore self. Would you guys be interested in reading something like that, eventually? And which would you prefer?
You know me. :) I'd love to see more WTF get thrown up, and if you need any prereading or editing, just throw me a PM; the work you've done there is incredible!
Well! if you don't mind some input from someone who has just started reading your story, I'd say that the ancient Greece story sounds like it would be pretty fun to read. other then that the Flashlight fic sounds like something I'd enjoy.
Part 2 of FtGoE sounds really good.
Either FtGoE Part 2 or WTF Part 2. I'm more interested in the main stories than sidefics.
Plus I don't ship FlashLight. So I'm kind of biased against that certain sidefic already.

I started on WTF2 a little bit last night, and, as that should be fairly short, I think I'm gonna keep plugging away at it. From there, we'll see--I do want to do The Alicorn War, and have that partway written, but it seems that everyone's more invested in the mainline stories.

And you're not the only one. That's part of the reason why I was hoping to write that fic, TBH--I wanted to show their courtship a little, and hopefully get folks a little more invested in the relationship. There's a similar reasoning behind Flash's accent--though I PROMISE that FtGoE isn't, like, a false-flag Flashlight fic or anything (their romance is parallel to the main plot, but intersects at important points).
