Really should pay more attention sometimes.

I am sporadic at looking at Equestria Daily. I regret never knowing this happened, or that I was on it. :twilightblush:

    Stupid Thought.

Cozy Glow was sending letters to Tartarus...how did anyone not notice that!? How did no pony read over the letter before hand to make sure it was okay for some twelve year old to be sending letters to Tirek in the first place? How did she get the address to Tartarus!? Why does it even have a address you can look up!? :twilightangry2:

    Still up there?

I am quite surprised, Horror Flick is still on the main page four days later and on a Saturday to boot. It is now dropping and being beaten by a story involving a, and I quote from the description 'Big Tiddy Goth Babe'.

    I am okay with this.

Just wanted to thank everyone who read and enjoyed it. Been awhile since I did more than editing and happy to see my work is still well liked.

    About 1/2 way done now.

Just a small update on my existence for those wondering. Still here, but I kind of got caught up in things with real life and also lost the interest to write for a bit, which is annoying because I was ecstatic at all the new follows Complex Apartments brought in. :pinkiehappy:

    Movie Time Approaches!

Huzzah! Finally! After months of avoiding Derpiboroo spoilers and ignoring trailers and every spoiler plausible on Equestria Daily the time is approaching! Tomorrow I shall see this movie and be able to stop worrying about having the movie ruined.

    What I know so far:

Not Bad, Not Bad. · 5:24am May 2nd, 2016

I was more motivated than I expected these last few weeks. The next story in my Mauxie series is just about ready, and the first part will be out, most likely, by Wednesday.

It's another two parter, as I am quite the failure at making short stories. But, I can, in part, blame that on the comment section this time. :pinkiehappy:

Admittedly, Stonewalled was not well liked, not compared to my other works. So, my motivation this time wasn't from the views, but on the comments. I had some very good comments on the story, some of which helped me work on detail work for this next part in the series, and I wanted to get it all down while my interest to work on it was hot.

Sunset has alot more parts in this next one then I originally intended. I added in Fuschia + Lavender *albeit very briefly*, and several things were explained that I hadn't originally though to explain. So, hopefully it lives up to the expectations of those who commented on the last one. And if it doesn't, well, I had fun writing it anyways. :pinkiehappy:

With this, I am a little closer to being on schedule. The next Mauxie isn't planned to be out till July, meaning the rest of this time till then will be on my other works. Finishing Gryphon Empire, and brushing off my notes on Hopes and Follies.

I don't have a good way to end this blog. :twilightoops:

Oi vey, this Wednesday! Looking forward to it, esp. on how you are going to take the Mauxie relationship - those two move at a snail's pace, since we know that it's been over 3 years and Trixie's only just earned the privilege of holding Boulder and 'being weird about it'. :twilightsheepish:

And after the latest episode, Mauxie will undoubtedly face a rising tide of Starxie... especially since as far as I know there is only one Mauxie fic series out there. May the best ship win and all that.

Do you have any plans to extend the Mauxie saga beyond Boulder Holder? Call me a hopeless romantic but I want to see them actually GET somewhere before they graduate... :pinkiesad2:

P.S. Still holding breath!

Two parts could be a short story, depending on the length of the parts.

Anyway, I'll look forward to it.

Seconded.

3912597 Hmm...well, the portal only opens every thirty moons, so every 2 1/2 years. For her time in Canterlot High, you can reasonably take out about 6 months for Sunset to figure out how to function moderately well in the world and to decide on using Canterlot High as her base of operations. So, two years of time from the start of the first story in this series needs to go by before Twilight arrives.

With that perspective, yeah, the Mauxie in this is kind of slow, but I think reasonably so. Trixie, by the end of the first story, can reasonably just think of Maud as a helpful acquaintance she's met up with several times throughout the year. And Trixie is in a bad enough state by the end of this that romance is probably the last thing on her mind.

I do worry about getting the seasons right, but I think it all aligns correctly. Or, at least close. There were three pictures on Celestia's wall of Shimmer, my thoughts were that the first is from the Spring fling, then fall formal, then spring fling, and then we are up to date on when Twi should be arriving. Having them all be from the fall formal alone takes us well past the thirty moon portal opening thing, and that is assuming that Sunset won the first Fall Formal almost immediately after showing up.

so, 6 months to get used to the world, 6 more months or so before the Spring Fling happens gives us 1 year. another spring fling and fall formal gives us two years and three pictures. Bah, my math is probably not completely right due to the seasons these events would be in, but the movie didn't do anyone any favors on that.

Unless it becomes a real issue I think I'll have to let the pure logic of it go, or maybe they just keep the newest pictures of those two events on the wall due to room and whatnot. :twilightsheepish:

Rambling.

As for Starxie, We'll see. It probably also opened up the door for a few new Twixie possibilities I'm sure some people will explore. I know "Heart of Stone' is a Mauxie fic that has been running a long time, though I couldn't get past the first chapter of it. This may count as a second, though this is in the EQG Universe.

Starlight does have the advantage of apparently being a big deal this season. My thoughts on her are not the best, though they will improve if this is the final personality shift she goes through "Seriously, her character just keeps changing every episode it seems, from the voice to even her hairstyle!"

3912677 My two parter's seem to be about 4500 words or so per chapter, that's the cut off I go for. I'm just very poor at making a story below 5k words. ^-^;;

And as I mentioned in previous blogs, I am planning on going beyond Maud's Boulder Holder. One more story after this is set before it, then I have two planned out after it.

I agree with your chronology for Sunset, more or less - we don't actually know when she arrived, but it's a reasonable estimation.

I added a year to three years because Boulder Holder seems to have human Twilight in it, which suggests post-FG, and while the chronology there is also pretty murky I suspect a year would have passed between the Fall Formal and the events as depicted in FG.

Though to be fair, we have all of one sentence from Twilight so it's possible that it's pony princess Twilight who just happened to be hanging around.

However, all this is quibbling, Mauxie moving at the majestic and stately pace set by continental drifts is quite plausible. It is, however, still slow and I guess we're just afraid they'll graduate before they hold hands or something. And that'd be a real tragedy. :raritywink:
