Calling someone's existence a mistake is far more offensive than criticism on a story. If you disagree, you're probably on the the wrong site.

3911089 Again, if you are the sort who gets depressed when facing criticism, you shouldn't post your stuff online. Most authors revel in having their stuff criticised. I know plenty of people who WANT criticism, because it helps them figure out what to improve. They're here to become better writers, and you can't improve without knowing what to improve.
"Love and tolerate" was a completely ironic sentiment originating on 4Chan in the early days of the fandom, referring to the attitude of people who hated bronies and MLP. People were telling bronies to kill themselves and get off the internet, and their response was to "love and tolerate" those who were attacking them. They ignored the abuse and kept doing what they enjoyed.
By trying to censor dissenting voices and legitimate criticism, you're acting in direct opposition to the original sentiment backing your mantra: "we aren't weak people, and we cannot be driven away by mere unkind words."

3911169 It was fairly tame by this site's standards. If it were my story, I'd thank him for it and ask him if I could run a few ideas by him for how to improve it. Most authors deal with criticism to this degree. Almost nobody reacts this negatively towards it.
I don't cower before you. This exchange is actually kind of funny. I'm not trying to inspire fear but rather explain the situation to you and try to get you to understand how this site operates. It's operated this way for years without you, and you can't change it any more than a light breeze in Kansas can change the orbital velocity of Jupiter. I'm hoping you can be made to realize that things are the way they are for a reason, and accept it. If not, I hope you can at least avoid antagonizing others and being a far greater problem than the one you're trying to solve.

Surely you realize the difference between "here's what I didn't like about this story" and "you are scum and animals." One's okay, the other one isn't.
You're not getting banned today because I find these kinds of comments amusing, especially in the context of someone so upset about criticism. It's not okay to comment on stories with any kind of negative opinion, but it is okay to call someone scum, an animal, and the downfall of society?
"Well, it's okay because you're a horrible person, and aggression against horrible people doesn't count."
What makes me a horrible person? "Protecting bullies," which in this context refers to refusing to ban someone because they commented negatively on a story, and then kind of taking their side in the argument. So, you could argue that my "methods" are along the same lines as these people commenting negatively.
If the negative comments are what you hate so much, then why are you allowed to take a more extreme version of those methods against people you hate solely because of their methods? It's the equivalent of someone flicking you on the shoulder, then you crying out "violence isn't right!" and punching them square in the nose. Your embracing of a far more severe version of the thing you hate in the opposing party kind of makes you look worse, even if your argument has merit.
I'm 100% sure I just wasted my keystrokes typing all this out, because you're just going to scream at me again and call me names, but whatever. Just behave more nicely in the future, please. You can't fight bullies by being an even bigger bully. That is completely counterproductive in every possible way.
