Writing Progress Update, New episode comments, and Justice steals a page out of Mythril Moth's book (not literially). · 6:42pm Apr 30th, 2016
Heya readers!
First up, I'm sorry for the lack of no new chapter in the last few days. My only excuses are work, spending time with my daughter, and also being sick with the flu the last few days and barely having the functions to work Netflix and put food and fluids into me. Next chapter of For the Mare Who Has Everything is coming along and I'm glad it's striking the correct emotional cords thus far.
Anyways, saw the new episode, so spoilers ahoy (seriously, if you haven't seen the new episode and you're reading this, get your priorities straight! Go watch the new episode!). I am a bit perturbed that Starlight can apparently mix, bake, and frost a cake with MAGIC in a matter of seconds. I mean... I guess she has to have had at least one hobby outside of enslaving towns, but dang... This is just more fuel for those who call her a Mary Sue. Though, that's the only thing that really irked me, it's nice to actually see Starlight struggle with this friendship stuff. Something we were denied with Sunset who more or less became the most perfect friend ever in between the end of EqG1 and 2. I really hope they keep Starlight's manipulative nature part of her character, even if she means well.
Speaking of being manipulative... The Grrrrrrrreat and Powerful Trixie sure was on top of her game this ep. I'm also glad to see she still has a jealous, revenge driven side even if there's a part of her who wants to actually connect with a pony over whatever fix she gets from adoring crowds. Still though, either she has a lot of faith in her ability to manipulate ponies or she really decided "Welp, this is it. Either my only friend is going to save me or I'm really worthless and deserve to be fangoriously devoured by a hungry manticore." I mean... Damn... someone get that pony some therapy!
I must say the appearance of a couple fan favorite characters really made me smile. While this story had a good message over all and important lessons for Starlight, Trixie, and Twilight, and also felt like it came with a nice smile and a wink to the older viewers. Something I always appreciate.
Now speaking of smiling and winking... I think this is the episode with the most accidental out of context "bedroom eyes" screen caps:
In closing, I've really enjoyed the last few season 6 episodes. If this trend continues, it might be my favorite season yet!
Wow, that last screenshot.

Whoops! Fixed, thanks. In mt defense I'm still getting over this accursed illness and dealing with allergies on top of it.
3907980 I understand. It was funny when I read it though.
So much shipping fuel
The yuri is strong with this episode.
Also, flu sucks. Feel better, dude.
Unicorn master race!
Starlight wasn't blasted with a super concentrated friendship beam. But it is nice to see her actually develop some character. She's gone from a meh character to an okay one for me
I loved today's episode and all, but... Am I the only one worried that Angel Bunny HAD ACTUAL FLOATY HEARTS OF L'AMOUR DURING HIS BRIEF SCENE WITH STARLIGHT GLIMMER!? I mean, yes, certainly we would all like to see/read fun fics regarding MLP's 'Bad-Fillies' crew. However... BEWARE THE SHIPS OF ANGEL/STARLIGHT! THAT WAY LIES THE MADNESS OF CUTIE-MARK-CRUSADER-GRADE SHENANIGANS!!!!!
Also, sincerely hope your flu passes swiftly on by and may you rise from your torturous grave like the majestic phoenix. Preferably without spontaneously combusting first.
This episode taught me that Twilight is very jealous and protective of her girlfriends. :V
To bad you're sick, Justice two words, Don't. Die. I sincerely mean that...still waiting on that danxpinkie chapter. we needs it, and we will go full on Misery to gets it!
good luck on your road to recovery look forward to your future work
