Updates and Umbrum Dearest

And...it's time for another blog post of random crap just so you all know I haven't dropped off the face of Equestria.

Last week I started with another new client. Think that's fun? Think of it like having to change jobs and getting used to new surroundings, co-workers and a boss EVERY TIME and you can see why my blood pressure went up last week.

The good news is this is a near full-time position (30-35 hours/week), is 15 minutes away from my house and I get to start at the blessed time of 10:00 am instead of oh-my-God-thirty like every other !$#& job seems to do.

And despite the increase in hours from the last assignment, I can still work on stories. This is mostly due to me getting my sh!t together in a way that actually works! Also, I'm not coming home dead like I was when I had the hospice case with 12-hour days five days in a row.

So enough of my vocation rantings. You came here to hear about ponies. So let's have some story updates and plans.

Firstly, see this uber hot guy on my profile page?

Yeah. HIM. Check it out - cute and hot and regal as he's standing on his mountain of rock HE MADE to get away from those stupid, prissy Canterlot guards of Celestia's? (I mean, really, have you SEEN them in a fight? LMAO!)

Yeah, well, he is perched there so hotly upon a box of my latest story updates.

Did I mention he was HOT? Yeah, didn't think so.

Where was I? Oh yeah, the box of updates (under the hot pony). This box gets updated WAY MORE than my blog 'cause it's quick and easy and I has a system that rocks to do it in less than five minutes. If you want the quick and dirty and low down, that's the place to look to get your schedule of which of your favorite stories is getting updated next.

I'm kind of an anal-retentive Nazi about updating incomplete stories (if you haven't noticed). My desire to keep them alive and updated at least once a month outweights all things...writer's blocks, crazy work schedules, sleep deprivation, yada, yada, yada. That's 'cause I wouldn't want to be waiting on a story update as long as a certain favorite writer has been making us wait (since the end of last November *whimper!*). So instead of taking it out on them, I do something constructive about it - like getting my fellow Sombraphiles their Sombra Crack fixes so they don't hate me and go away forever.

So, since you're here, what's getting updated next? The King's Mice. I just reread it this morning and have the mad mojo writing superpowers amped up to continue on with the mice while my client dozes inbetween g-tube feedings and physical therapy. Also, I have the first scene of next month's Mother's Day offering done called, "Troubled Crystal Heart". Tale Weaver calls it my "anti-Mother's-Day" story because it's anything but joyous and happy.

Well, of course it isn't. It's about King Sombra and his mother. And gauging from how he turned out, are you surprised? Think "Mommy Dearest", ready your coat hangers and boxes of kleenix 'cause this ain't gonna be pretty.

But I guarantee it'll be great.
