Weekend Review: Sunlight Café is a hit! + New Stories and Gauntlet of Fire · 4:49pm Apr 18th, 2016
Well that's a surprise. I honestly didn't expect The Sunlight Café to do as well as it did. I thought it would've been my second highest rated story at most but nope. It's broken every single one of my previous records from my other stories. Thank you all for the support. It means a lot to me. You're all awesome!
Now, my next 2 stories will be my first multi-chapter fics. I intend to finish most if not all the stories before I start posting any of the chapters. They're both ideas I've really wanted to do for some time, and since school is about to be out, I figured it would be a good time to start on them.
The Gauntlet of Fire is my favorite episode of season 6 so far. Up to this point, season 6 has been decent, nothing extraordinary. However, I find Gauntlet to be a very good episode, and probably my second favorite Spike episode after Inspiration Manifestation. And Ember, oh man, she's was cool. I really like her character and design, and her father was pretty funny, too. I really hope to see more of her in future episodes. She makes a good sister figure for Spike (That's how I see their relationship. I think he's too young for me ship them together), and she definitely is welcomed character in MLP.
Ember is a good role model for Spike I agree wholeheartedly to that. Though Spike is as much a good role model for her as well, while she can show him how to act more dragon like. Spike can help her to be more calm and think before acting.
And sure Ember is older than Spike, but Spike shows more maturity than Ember in some aspects. Case in point Spike knew he was out classed in more ways than one and willingly backed out, Ember however wanted to just rush in with out a plan or even how she would get the scepter. So they can work out great as a pairing to work off of and learn from one another.
3879710 They make a good team with good chemistry. Spike shows Ember how to be more caring, and Ember allows Spike to be welcomed in the dragon lands. Ember as Dragon Lord opens up many new episode possibilities with dragons.
3879744 Very much true, though I don't quite understand the whole dragon lord thing. Is her father a Great wyrm? Cause he didn't look like he was 1000+ in age, he looked closer to maybe 150+ to me.
3879844 Who knows? Not much is known about dragons at the moment. Only time will tell if the show will explore them more.
