One Year Anniversary · 6:15pm Apr 6th, 2016
One year ago today, I blogposted celebrating my one millionth word of Trixieverse ponyfiction.
It's been a wonderful thing exploring this story world, and it feels good to be 3/4 of the way through an eighth book, waaaay past that million word mark. I've made a point of copying finished books over to applejinx.com for better indexing (I've got ship names for every chapter's events!) and in case anything happens with FIMfiction, and each book is available as a Kindle format ebook (not just from the site, but my own ebook-making complete with covers and tables of contents etc, just as if it was from the Kindle store) once it's finished. With a bit of luck, Trixieverse will be around for a long time.
In the spirit of trying new things, here's another little bit of show-bible for the folks helping me develop the next Applejinx magnum opus: Species Relative Heights In Versus, an incomplete guide to what we're building. As I've long planned, there's a Minecraft server being used to rough out scenery and sets for the forthcoming anthro sword-and-sorcery story "Tales Of Versus". My existing moderators from the recreational server (who are also tasked with being mods for the Versus world) are already building here, and my hope is that it can be a patron-perk as well as a rough reference for the geography and look of the place (actual Versus background art is to be watercolor and acrylic on watercolor paper, with characters inked or done in Flash depending on the medium).
This should help my Minecraft folks, who've been clamoring for show bible and more show bible. Happy to comply!
You write an excessive amount of words.
Congrats on the anniversary, bro!

Congrats, Jinx!

Since you didn't make a ton of specific comments on the Finok, here's some interpolations that you can Joss or anti-Joss:
Since 'coons den up, but also climb trees when threatened (or to get food), their buildings will have cozy cubbies and areas with lots of head-room, if they can actually make use of the vertical spaces. No wasteful vaulted ceilings that don't do anything.
Their lab areas will have some larger open spaces to accommodate their larger golems and iron-working facilities, but they're not going to be excessively large.
Their builds will be a mix of above and slightly below ground, and a curious mix of wood, small-textured mineral materials, and iron where appropriate.
3852273 Sounds plausible: I imagine them as having a great deal of individuality, so there's lots of room for interpretation :) certainly they wouldn't be afraid of heights. Anything they can use, they WILL use.
