Whelp it's been a long and wild ride as a peaceful mare went from simple librarian to a psychotic and sadistic soldier.
this story is a huge milestone for me in many ways as its the first story I wrote that became popular, the first story I wrote to get over a 1000 views, the first story i'll be writing a sequel to and the first multi-chapter story I have actually completed so, yeah SoM is a pretty big deal in my history as a writer.
I'd like to thank all of my readers who stuck with the story despite all the types and grammar errors, I know I suck at both of those 
You guys help drive me to complete the story and not burn out like I usually do and helped me actually make the story what it is with you feedback and comments and in some cases acting as a sounding board for me so I didn't put something in that makes no sense for the story.

now we get into me talking about the story so if you are still reading it I'd recommend you finish the story before reading further as there will be spoilers ahead
you have been warned.
anyways we watched as her mind slowly fractured and reformed far different then she used to be with only a few hints of her old self still there to show she is not fully lost.
we also saw what can happen when you push certain purple ponies to far and they become death itself and are unable to recognize anything that is not herself as anything except "creatures" that are in the way and need to be punished for that.
will Reaper resurface? maybe, she is too good a character for HOLY SHIT so she may resurface in some for, she is buried deep within Twilight after all.
I should point out Twilight and reaper are two separate entities sharing one body, a split personality of sorts but Reaper is only able come out when Twilights sanity retreats from the world, allowing the insanity total control, basically Reaper is Twilight insanity incarnate and why reaper has partial access to her memories and Twilight only has fragments of what Reaper does.
anyways, we have reached the end of a major chapter in the Commander's life but her journey is far from over, she served as the leader of the Equestrian Defense Force for over 50 years and has seen and dealt with a lot including a semi-war with Griffin separatists caused by the existence of the EDF that claimed the life of her brother.
And there isn't just Twilight's journey either all of Equestria, hell all of the planet is along for the ride as Equestria is shaped by Twilight's hooves in to a military super power dedicated to the protection of the peace Equestria has.
there are thousands if not millions of soldiers in the EDF and they all have a story all their own, and we can't forget about the Changelings or the Civilians that are effected by this new Equestria. how has this all effected them?
one thing is certain life in Equestria has been changed by the Commander, whether that is for the better or worse, well that all depends on who you ask now isn't it? some are happy with the new order and some are not while others are indifferent.
either way the EDF isn't going anywhere anytime soon if ever, they are entrenched in Equestrian society it would be like trying cut through concrete with a plastic knife to remove them, not impossible but extremely difficult.
And then there is the matter of the hidden chapter where Twilight ascends to Alicornhood and gets a significant power boost as well as her cybernetics becoming far more advanced then they had been.
and her weapons have also been altered do to spending so much time in Twilight's "Storage locker" and do to the significance of them to the new Alicorn they were partly fused with some of her magical signature so were effected by her ascension.
they are not more powerful but they also are like Twilight now, free from the ravages of time. They will still need be maintained and to be cleaned but time does not effect them as it used to and damage done to them repairs itself, in a sense the guns will heal if damaged in a way Twilight cannot fix them such as the barrel being bent or something like that.
The world now has a new Princess, one only a single individual know is mentally unbalanced and completely insane who now is far more powerful then she once was. Needless to say. "Things just got a whole lot more fucking interesting, now didn't it?"

If Reaper resurfaces... may Celestia save the poor souls that will be near... Because things will go haywire.
I didn't even realize it at first, but the story is 185,000 words and was written in just over two months. That's quite a lot of writing.

By the way, is the bonus chapter official, as in it actually happens before the epilogue? So does this mean alicorn ascension doesn't grant immortality in the Soldier of Magic universe?
3812803 in the epilogue Twilight mentions Chrysalis has arrived so they can go to Rainbow Dash's funeral so she finished up her writing. the bonus chapter then start with Twilight writing when Spike comes down to tell her that Chrysalis has arrived and so Twilight finished ups what she is wring before meeting the Queen and together they go to Dash's funeral and after that Twilight ascends.
and yes the hidden chapter is official, the Commander became an Alicorn in the end despite everything that happened.
a little good did happen to her in the end.
though personally I don't believe Alicorns are immortal just extremely long lived.

Thankfully some authors have a lot more free time than some others... these others aren't helped by having tight schedules, time-consuming busy jobs, not to count issues, ...

Very. I don't care about bad grammar and spelling too much (can't spell for SHIT, and my eyes rearrange a shit sentence while I'm reading it;shit for proofreading, awesome for a good story with some shitty sentences sprinkled in).
