So, I've been working on a new story after finally picking one of the many ideas I've written down and stored on my desktop. I noticed that a lot of them contain Twilight as the main focus or secondary focus. I'm not sure why though. She's my third favourite of the main six, and second favourite of the princesses. Twilight is a very interesting character, I'll give her that.
The new story I'm working on is actually vastly different from my usual creating process. I created the idea for it, worked out some of the middle part, but I have no idea how it ends. The way I usually go about creating stories is that I have the beginning and ending already planned in my head with the middle suffering. It's an interesting concept to be working without an end goal in mind, so we'll see how long this story lasts.
It's a Comedy/Romance, I do find those to be very appealing, but it's not a one-off. I wish I could say more about it, but I'll be marking it up for publishing sooner rather than later, so there's no real pointing in spoiling it's premise.
PONI on the other hand, one of my far less popular stories, is slow going. I think it'll be a huge success with readers but only after the ending is released. The ending is what ties everything together and I'm super proud of it. The only problem, like I said earlier, is the middle. Right now chapter four is finished but I'm still editing it. For three weeks I've been editing it. I thought about dumping the whole chapter and rewriting it.
I'm smart though. Since chapter four is taking so long, I figured I'd get a head start and begin writing the final chapter. The beginning of the final chapter will remain the same regardless if I rewrite the fourth chapter or not. I want to be done with it and put it out there for people to read and judge, as I think the ending will blow peoples socks off. Hopefully my hard work will pay off. If it doesn't? Well, at the very least I want myself to be satisfied with how it turned out.
Speaking of rewriting, after I get a few more stories under my belt I'll probably go back and rewrite Hours Loom and Above The Fire Sky. I think they deserve it. That's pretty much all there is to that statement. Yay?
I have a lot of writing, and a lot of learning to do when it comes to creating entertaining stories. I want to make stories that'll make people laugh, touch their hearts, or leave them speechless. But most importantly, I want to make stories that I want to read. Because if I can make reading enjoyable for me, then I feel I've succeeded. I'm very hard to please when it comes to reading, and I completely regret when I make anything less the sub-par.
