What's this? An update to Altered Visage on a day other than Thursday?! What madness is this?! Talking about it after the break.
Yes, I am updating on a Monday of all days, but don't get too excited, this is only a side chapter. Not only is it short (under 1500 words), but also not necessary for the overall story. I just had an idea for showing Chrysalis' state of mind after she has Chance thrown into the dungeon.
Something I think may be worthy of note is that Chrysalis constantly refers to the protagonist as Visage, even though she is mentally well aware that it's not really Visage inside that body. It's intended to show her difficulty in seeing Chance as anything other than her daughter, and helps explain her relative lenience with her.
Anything else worth mentioning here? Hmmm....I suppose I incorporated the idea that there are spells that can ward off dream walkers with the bit on how she had such spells cast on all her human prisoners. Implicit in this would be that she would also have this spell cast on her changelings as well so as to prevent Luna from spying on her subjects.
Yeah, I think that's about it. Have fun with this mini-chapter that attempts to humanize Chrysalis somewhat. Or don't and steadfastly refuse to see her as anything other than a monster that deserves to be killed. Your choice, really. I'm gonna go watch a movie with some friends.

I was about to wonder how you knew it was Deadpool, then I realized that there's really not much else worth seeing right now that hasn't been out for quite some time, so it was a very likely assumption to make. It was awesome, by the way.
