I'll know it when I find it... I hope. · 7:47pm Feb 10th, 2016
Dear readers, how often does this happen to you?
I wanted to re-read a blog post by one of the fine, clever, eloquent writers of FIMfiction that I follow. Unfortunately, I couldn't remember who, exactly, had written the post I was looking for. It wasn't so idiosyncratic that I could easily pin it to a particular writer. So there was nothing to do but start checking the recent-ish blog posts of a number of authors, starting with the ones I thought as most likely.
After having read a couple of dozen excellent posts by good half a dozen authors, I realized I no longer had any idea what I was searching for, originally.
I did persist for some time more, hoping that if I happened upon the post I had started out after, it would jolt my memory and I'd realize I had found it. But no, after scanning the blogs of another ten or so of my favorite writers, I still haven't found whatever it is I set out to look for. At this point, I don't think I ever will.
Memory is the first thing to go.![:fluttershysad:](https://static.fimfiction.net/images/emoticons/fluttershysad.png)
Welp... happy hunting.![:trollestia:](https://static.fimfiction.net/images/emoticons/trollestia.png)
Generally, if I want to revisit a blog post, it made enough of an impact that I can remember why, what, or who.
In the future, you may want to write down just what it is you're looking for before you begin the hunt.
YES! We need to be able to favorite blog posts.
Think about things that you were thinking about at the time, and not what you want to think about directly.

Yeah, I'm going to do that next time.

Amen! That would be so handy.

It's usually a good idea, but I don't remember what I were thinking about! Plus enough time has passed that it's useless by now.

Alas!
